Book Tour for Lennon's Rain by Chris Myers (Review & GIVEAWAY)

Slowly but surely I'm becoming a fan of NA books and today I'm bringing you a book that is part of why I'm a fan.  Keep reading to learn about Lennon's Rain (and its prequel, Lennon's Jinx) by Chris Myers through my impressions of it and by visiting the other blogs hosting this tour.  Make sure to fill out the form below for your chance to win copies, both print and e-versions, of this book too!

Sometimes in love, you choose wrong....
Eight years ago, Lennon lost his heart to Rain, and suddenly she’s back, all grown up and sexy as hell. At a sorority party, he convinces himself that outbidding every other guy for a body shot from Rain is for charity. But he knows better. He doesn’t want any guy, except him, tarnishing the memory of the little girl he proposed to in fifth grade.
Jinx loves Lennon and is past ready for him to make his move. With his sexual prowess, she worries why he hasn’t made any advances. She fears she is losing him, and the only way to keep him is to overcome her past and give him what he desires.
Rain knows Lennon is trouble. If she couldn’t say no to the gangly boy asking her to skateboard off some roof, how will she refuse Lennon’s seductive powers now that he is a man? Rain has many reasons to resist his charm. He has a girlfriend, he’s moving to LA with her, and Rain has no intention to march in the long parade of Lennon Tyler conquests.
Now, Lennon must choose. Someone has to lose, and that person could be him.

MY IMPRESSIONS OF THIS BOOK:

Those looking for a story to pull at their heartstrings and one that will remind you of your youth will find all that and more in Lennon's Rain by Chris Myers.  The events from this book's prequel have us picking up two months later with Lennon finding success with his band but still confused in his love life.  He cares for Jinx but after seeing the "one who got away" at a party he's left conflicted.  He's matured since we last saw him though so he won't make rash decisions with his love life, especially as he doesn't want to hurt those he cares about.  He realizes that it's not all about him and I was impressed by this wiser boy he's become, yet still charming badish boy he continues to be.  I loved him in the last book and continue to love him here, especially seeing him continue caring for his younger sister.  Their interactions endeared him to me and made my heart go all aflutter.

The others in this love triangle are distinctively different in their personalities, though they've all had emotionally draining pasts.  Jinx is quiet and a bit timid and still trying to overcome the issues in her past.  She has strong inner fortitude which I admired but her battles with Lennon's little sister suggest a hiccup in the future of Jinx and Lennon's relationship.  Rain is the opposite kind of girl in that she's outspoken and larger than life.  She gives off a bad girl vibe which I found appealing.  I also enjoyed her internal conversations which provided a bit of humor.  She got along beautifully with Lennon's little sister which further complicated the outcome of this love triangle that kept me guessing with its twists and turns.

This was a compelling read with likable characters that often did the unexpected.  It was intensely emotional with its flawed characters and heavy issues and I couldn't turn the pages fast enough.  Ms. Myers wrote a fast-paced story with some steamy moments that kept me guessing and tore at my heart numerous times.  I look forward to where the story goes from here and recommend this to fans of the NA genre looking for an exciting new author.

My rating for this is an A-
