MY IMPRESSIONS OF THIS BOOK:

A teenage crush put them at odds when they were younger but as adults they've now moved on to frenemies and then lovers in this fun and flirty romance.  When a bet leads to erotic encounters and then unexpected love the sparks will fly as readers become immersed in their fiery journey to HEA.  Along the way readers become reacquainted with characters from the past who add a bit of loving mockery as well as unconditional support in a story that kept me entertained from the first page to the last.

Wes is a sexy man full of arrogance and charm who's a master when it comes to selling pricey houses as well as getting women into his bed for a night of fun. Long-term commitments hold no appeal to him as his parent's divorce left him jaded and disbelieving of love.  He's been a part of Natalie's life since she was young as the best friend of her brother, teasing her mercilessly, but once she hit puberty he found himself tempted by her and he's been struggling to keep his hands to himself ever since.  When a bet leads to her surrender Wes finds himself becoming even more obsessed with her the more time he spends with her in and out of the bedroom.  When their time together comes to an end will Wes be able to walk away or will Natalie's plans to move on come to fruition? Wes is a player when readers first meet him, happy to move from one woman to the next.  Natalie makes him think though and with her sassy nature he can't help wanting to claim her.  He's a master of dirty talk, playful too in their erotically-charged interludes.  Wes may think himself immune to love but being around Natalie brings out a surprisingly caring side that endeared him to me as he fought for her in a cheer-inducing conclusion.

Natalie's always been competitive, running after her brother and Wes as a child, in an attempt to get Wes to see her as more than a troublesome little girl.  With Wes's vow to keep his hands off her in honor of her brother she tried to move on from her crush in a relationship that ended in heartache.  Not wanting another broken heart she agrees to a fling with Wes which soon leads to her longing for more.  When a job offer arises that could help her career though, will she choose it or will she continue to wait for the love that she's wanted ever since she was young?  Natalie's a strong-willed woman who loves a challenge. She's good at her job, forsaking her past relationship to rise through the realtor ranks, but with Wes readers see a sexier and more playful side to her.  Wes's naughty whispers bring out her inner sex kitten in encounters that have her content to let him take charge.  Ultimately Natalie's the kind of heroine you want to be as she nicely balances work and play while working towards her immensely satisfying HEA.

This was a quick read that flowed nicely, full of decadent delights that had me blushing one moment and smiling the next.  Wes is a delicious hero who's definitely worthy of being a book boyfriend.  He's career-driven at first but finding love soon shows him to be sweet, caring, and swoon-worthy.  His interactions with Natalie are combustible and teeming with sexual tension.  Both in and out of the bedroom they lit up the pages and their sexy banter quickly immersed me in their journey to HEA which was reached with virtually no angst. Natalie's immensely likable and I enjoyed how she gave as good as she got which made her connection to Wes even more crackling.  Along with this entertaining main couple came a small cast of secondary characters, ones we've seen before and which I was happy to see again for their brotherly ribbing of Wes and familial interactions with Natalie.  This dynamic author duo have once again won me over with their erotically-charged romance with a theme that may be familiar but what's on the pages is fresh and fun.  It's a great start to a new series that promises even more sexy book boyfriends and I'm counting down the days until we see Max again!

My rating for this is an A.
