This is the day of the week where we get to know each other better by answering a question devised by our lovely hostesses Parajunkee & Alisoncanread. We also gain new followers by joining each other's sites via GFC, so please let me know if you're a new follower since I automatically follow back. And now for this week's question....
Q: The New Year is here -- and everyone wants to know your New Years Blogging Resolution! What are you going to try to revise, revamp and redo for 2012 on your blog?
A: I swear, no matter how much of my hair I pull out, I will finally create a button for my blog along with creating a header that's more me (even though I feel so intimidated and stupid).
Thanks for visiting my blog. I'm following back. One of the first things I did when I started reviewing books was network like crazy on GoodReads. I have way more followers there than on my blog. Now I'm just trying to branch out and meet other bloggers. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat goals! I loved creating my stuff! Don't be intimidated! As long as it is yours and unique people will accept it for that! :) Thanks for stopping by and following!

Best wishes for blogging in 2012! My blogs a little over a year old and I've just recently created a blog button- it took 2 hours but I'm so pleased and there is a lovely feeling of being acomplished! I suggest a photobucket account- they're awesome! And find a good tutorial!
ReplyDeleteNew follower! (I can't wait to see your button!)

I am so intimidated by creating stuff, too. I just got Photoshop for Christmas so we'll see if that helps or hurts :) It'll be easy to promote with Goodreads once you get a button and then write the html to point to your Goodreads page (I can help with that since I just pillaged off the internet myself). Same with FB and Twitter. My Feedburner goes to Twitter which goes to FB so I don't do anything except play on Twitter but I should get on FB and play there, too :( Email me if you want help on the coding and buttons! Gotta spread the love! Thanks for visiting!!

Thanks everyone for your comments and encouragement! I promise that button will be done within the next 30 days and you're all my witnesses. So if I don't do it, I give you permission to mock me. And thanks too for the offers of help! I'll keep them in mind as I struggle through the world of graphics.
ReplyDeleteNew follower here! I've been toying with the idea of creating a button and header for my blog as well. I guess I should have included that in my FF! But there's no need to feel intimidated. (I say that but I sorta feel the same.) I comfort myself with the thought that the book blogging community is very nice and helpful.
ReplyDeleteHopping through. Great idea to have a button. There are several tutorials on how to create them and I managed to put together a very amateur looking one for my Totally Twilight feature.

Man, those are some hard improvements. I was actually thinking about making a blog button, but I've got to come up with a picture to capture my blog first. Good luck with that! :D
ReplyDeleteI'm a following you back.
I need more hours too! Great resolutions!

I think you creating a button is a great idea. If you want help, there are plenty of us bloggers who are more than willing (myself included!).

Don't fret! I just got a button for my blog a few months ago and another blogger was actually super kind enough to make it for me. I am so not tech savvy! Good luck!

OMG creating a header and button were horribly daunting for me (and thats not sarcasm, I swear! I couldn't get them to work!) Luckily, another blogger designed a button for her site (since the one I sent didn't work) and just let me use it!
ReplyDeleteNew follower here (and hopefully twitter if you're on there)

Don't pull any hair out! I'm sure you'll get your button stress free...ok well there might be some stress. Good luck and happy new year! New Follower.

No Problem! ( :
ReplyDeleteGreat answers! I'd love to learn how to make my blog look better too. :) Happy new year!
ReplyDeleteOld follower hopping through! I finally hired a friend to design a button :)
ReplyDeleteGetting a new design was easier than I thought. I just picked an already made template from silversdesigns.blogspot.com and then I took that image and cropped it until it was button size for a button. Let me know if you need any help.

New follower! Great answers. I want to create a button this year too, but I'm not sure how to go about doing it. Guess it's something I'll have to figure out.(: Check out my blog!
