Colt Anderson is burned out. Every part of his daily life has become a tedious chore. He cannot remember the last time he took a day off or, better yet, felt a woman’s willing surrender. And it’s just his luck that on his first day off in ages, he runs into a sexy squatter on his property, never expecting that single interaction would alter the very fabric of his world.
Still, he cannot seem to stay away from the sultry scientist, Avery. Colt feels bad for her, worries that she is running from something, and decides to cover her stay at the ranch. After all, he owns the place and has plenty of cash. Although that tiny little detail is a secret he plans on keeping to himself. It is addictive having a woman look in his direction and not see dollar signs for a change.
Because when Avery casts those goddess eyes his way, he’s just a man, a man she craves and submits to body and soul, like he’s her man, and his longing for her has him tied up in knots. With trouble and danger drawn to her like magnets, Avery pulls out his protective, dominant nature. The woman needs a keeper, and he’s the perfect man for the job.
Now he has less than two weeks to convince her to stay, to make her fall for him before she discovers he’s rich. But will she hate him when she discovers his deception?

EXCERPT:

The telescopes and corresponding equipment filled the small space, dripping everywhere. Colt could only wonder about the water damage these things would do to the hardwood floors.
In the interior light, he studied the woman while she flitted around the equipment, apparently unconcerned that she was just as wet, or that she was alone with a strange man who had a firearm. She used the big plush towels that they stocked in the bathrooms to dry off the gear.
This was one of their honeymoon cabins with an open plan floor. The walls were a golden, honey-toned wood, and the hardwood floors matched them in color, giving it a feeling of warmth. On the left was a pinewood king bed with matching nightstands, and a chest of drawers against the wall. On the left beyond the bed was the bathroom that held a full-size tub and shower, and was the only room that was walled off. There was a full-sized fridge, and electric stove in the kitchen on the far right. There was even a stacked washer and dryer unit on the wall between the bathroom and kitchen. But directly to Colt’s right was the living room with big, plush dark brown sofas, and his uninvited guest and all her equipment taking up every ounce of free space.
The woman was maybe pushing five two, making her a good foot shorter than he was. She was slight and trim; her jeans had holes in them and were plastered to her slim legs. Her yellow tank top was slicked against her chest and damn near translucent from the dousing it had sustained. As it was, the thin material outlined the high swell of her breasts. The nipples were drawn into taut points beneath it and pushed enticingly against the see-through material.
But it was her face that drew him the most. She had smooth, unblemished skin that was sun kissed golden, delicate, high cheekbones, and a wide, generous mouth currently set with grim determination as she moved around the gear. The tip of her slim nose was slightly upturned, and her eyes were like dark, liquid pools of mahogany framed by thick, inky lashes. Her dark hair ran over her shoulders to drape against her chest and back, but he thought it might be lighter in color when dry, more of a tawny caramel than a burnt walnut.
Colt rubbed a hand over his face to dispel the sudden influx of lust her wet form engendered in him. He had to remember this woman was in the cabin, on his property, as a freeloader. He hated people who took advantage of the immense acreage of Silver Springs Ranch. It was stealing, plain and simple. Once the storm had abated, he would deal with her—harshly, if it came to it. With anger lacing his clipped words, he said, “I’m going to ask you again, who the hell are you, and what the hell do you think you’re doing in this cabin?"
“Isn’t it obvious, cowboy? I’m staying here.” Sarcasm dripped from her words, her voice like silken honey. “I should be asking you the same thing.” She all but ignored him as she took care of the equipment with absolutely no apparent fear that he could be a rapist or murderer.
“This cabin was not rented out.” He knew this as, when he’d received the updated guest manifest from registration yesterday evening, this cabin, B42, was listed as being a vacancy. That meant she was here illegally. “I don’t know how you even got in without a key."
She shoved wet hair out of her face and shrugged. “Well, I’m renting it, technically. Although there might be some issues with the rental in the sense that I still have to pay for it, but it’s the stream’s fault. Why? You work at the ranch?"
He cocked a brow. She hadn’t asked if he owned the ranch but if he worked on it. A photo of his face was on the website. It was hard to miss that he owned it. And Colt didn’t know why, but he didn’t want her to know he was the ranch proprietor, so he omitted the fact. “Yep. I work for Silver Springs Ranch. I know for a fact that there’s no guests listed as renting this cabin. It’s supposed to be empty. That makes you a squatter and a freeloader."
She cast a haughty frown in his direction, like he was the one taking advantage of the ranch instead of the other way around. He curled his hands into fists to keep himself from grabbing her and shaking the truth out of her.
All Colt had wanted was a day to himself without any problems. And this sexy as hell scrounger had tossed a wrench into the works on the first day he’d had off in weeks.
It had happened before: people squatting in their cabins without paying. With as much acreage and as many remote cabins as they had, at times it was hard to monitor each one. And if the last renter or housekeeping forgot to lock the front door, it was easy for somebody to enter.
“Look, I’m not a damn squatter. Besides, what are you doing here? It looks like you were planning to move right in.” She tossed the damp towel on the sofa and made him wince. She set her hands on her hips, emphasizing her slight curves, and scowled with defiance.
Colt prowled toward her as the cabin shuddered in the crashing thunder, peeved that anyone would take advantage of his place. “I call it like I see it, lady.” He moved until they were standing no more than a foot apart, glaring at each other.
“Oh yeah, and what are you doing out here but using this place illegally?"
“Besides needing to take shelter from the storm? About to kick a squatter off ranch property,” he growled.
“Look, cowboy, I can’t take my equipment back out in that storm without it getting damaged. And for the last time,” she drilled a finger into his chest, “I’m not squatting. I fully intend to pay for my stay."
He snorted. “And you just forgot to stop by registration? How did you even get inside? Did you pick the lock? You’ve got some nerve, breaking and entering. I’m sure the sheriff would be mighty interested in your activities."
“The door was open, wise guy. And you think my staying here’s ballsy?” She gripped his wet shirt in her hands, and yanked his face down until their eyes were level with one another. The woman was far stronger than she appeared, and Colt wondered what she planned to do. But then she planted her hot mouth against his lips.
Shock filled him for all of two seconds as her exotic, red-hot honeyed flavor swamped his senses.

Book Review for Straightened Out by Janine Infante Bosco......

I'm a mob boss with a tarnished name, leading a kingdom in the shadows of disgrace.
She's a ballerina, the sister of my underboss, dancing her way through life.
Until her, all I wanted was to be straightened out.
But with power comes sacrifice.
With respect comes fear.
With love comes death.
The rule of the streets is to take or be taken.
Some legends are born, others are made.
But not all survive.

********************

It's a tale of second chances and unconditional love found amongst the pages of this gritty and sentimental read set in the mafia world and it's been a story that I've been waiting for with bated breath.  With its unforgettable hero Rocco, to his attraction to his right-hand man's little sister Violet, theirs is a romance bordering on forbidden while warming my heart through a youth spent as friends to their sizzling connection as adults.

Rocco Spinelli has intrigued me since his introduction in the Satan's Knights MC series of books.  He had other plans for his life but was called up to take his place in the Family business and has flexed his muscles mightily throughout his time as boss.  With the stain to his family name he feels like he has to prove his worth even more which has led to a rather self-involved personality, someone who's a bit jaded with his life, but there was still something about him that drew me to him.  In this book readers see the chinks to his carefully crafted armor come through as his reunion with a youthful friend turns very adult as she's no longer the bothersome sister to his best friend that he remembers her being.  That's not to say that Rocco's not a badass in this story...because he is.  He's not afraid to shed blood and he definitely doesn't hold back when those he cares about are put in danger, which happens quite often throughout the story as there's big changes afoot in the mafia world.  From start to finish he's grown more confident in his role as boss while becoming more conflicted when it comes to matters of the heart.  His inner dialogues particularly pulled at my heartstrings and showed a tender heart lurking behind his tough facade.  I enjoyed watching him at work while equally loving the give and take between him and Violet in a romance that made him stronger ultimately.

Violet Cabrera has been in love with Rocco since she was a young girl, following him and her brother around like a lovesick puppy.  She was drawn to him from the start, understands him like no one else, and it's this longtime connection that gives him strength during the difficult changes occurring throughout this story.  The only thing she wants more than Rocco is to be a prima ballerina.  She's studied to be one her whole life, her brother sacrificing for it too, and I was rooting for her every step of the way to bust the stereotypes surrounding her career choice.  Through it all Violet was an immensely likable heroine, sassy and tough talking.  I loved the verbal foreplay between her and Rocco early on and  the transition to something more mature felt natural.  Violet was a strong-willed young woman, more than aware of what Rocco does as boss, but willing to stand by him as she knows what's in his heart and loves him wholeheartedly.

Rocco and Violet were a formidable couple and I was rooting for them to overcome all the danger and angst thrown their way.  I enjoyed their witty, playful, and sensual banter which made for a crackling romance in a story full of gritty choices, danger, and suspense.  I loved getting deeper insight into Rocco, the reluctant and ill-prepared boss, and was further thrilled by the reappearance of past characters from the world of the Satan's Knights.  These characters have become like family throughout these books and I'm constantly on edge while rooting them on to get exactly what they want.  On a whole the romance was satisfying while pulling at my heartstrings but the action is what kept me riveted to the pages, waiting in breathless anticipation of what will happen next!

My rating for this is an A-

The deal was sealed the moment she stepped onto that stage.
It was like seeing a ghost. Sunshine blonde hair, pale skin, and azure blue eyes that held a thousand secrets.
I didn’t know what caused her to end up on that auction block.
And I didn’t care either.
All I knew was that I had to have her…no matter the cost.
One-million dollars later and she became just that.
Mine to break.
Mine to use.
Mine to keep.
But we all have secrets and when I discover hers no one will be able to save her from me.

EXCERPT:

“If I don’t matter to you, then why did you kill that man the other night? Why didn’t you just let him go?” I fire back. What could possibly be his excuse?
Markus’s nostrils flare, and I swear he wants to murder me. The look in his eyes tells me he’s completely done with my shit. It’s a miracle I’ve made it as long as I have. I’d have run by now, but there’s something I need from him, and also, I don’t want to die.
“I killed him because, one, you’re mine. Two, I paid good money for you, and I don’t plan on wasting that money. Three, you’re fucking mine. He came here, showed up uninvited, intending to get close to you. He’s lucky that death was the only thing he got.” The possessive tone of his voice frightens me.
He really does only see me as an object and not a breathing, living person.

Hamish Kenneally is moving from Australia to the US for a fresh start, beginning with Christmas at his sister’s place in Idaho. When a snowstorm diverts his plane to Montana and leaves him stranded two days before Christmas, he hires a car and drives right into a blizzard.
Ren Brooks has always called Hartbridge, Montana, and his family hardware store, home. After a few failed attempts at love, he’s resigned to being single forever—after all, no guy wants to stay in his sleepy little town for long. And after his dad’s passing earlier in the year, Ren’s Christmas is looking bleak. But when a car runs off the road in front of his property, Ren pulls the driver out and takes him home to get out of the cold.
With the storm and the holidays leaving Hamish with nowhere else to go, Ren kindly offers a place to stay. Hamish is certain he’s crashed right into a Hallmark Christmas movie, despite more car delays and road closures and the prospect of not seeing his sister for Christmas. And with help from Hamish, Ren is beginning to feel a little Christmas cheer.
These two unlikely strangers have more in common than they first realise, and after two days of Christmas decorations, cookies, and non-stop conversation, it looks like Christmas might be saved after all.

EXCERPT:

Ren’s POV
“Feeling any warmer?” I asked, pulling my gloves off. I hung my coat up by the door.
He was shivering too hard to answer. I went to him and knelt down at his feet, feeling his jeans. They weren’t too wet, but his feet were. “I’m going to take your shoes and socks off,” I said. He nodded again and Chutney jumped up onto his lap. His shoes were some high-end brand sneaker and his socks were just standard thin cotton. Jesus. “I’m going to guess you’re not from around here."
“Sydney,” he replied. “Australia. When I left it was thirty-five degrees. Celsius, that is. Like ninety-something for you. I don’t know. It’s summer."
I wondered where the accent was from. “You left Sydney today?"
He nodded. “Well, yesterday. I guess. It’s been a long day. And terrible flights—oh my God—like you couldn’t believe. I haven’t slept. Can’t sleep on a plane. Your dog is really cute. I think he likes me. What’s his name?"
I smiled up at them, given Chutney was on his lap smiling back at me. “She’s a she. Her name is Chutney."
“Chutney,” he repeated. “That’s just the cutest."
“She’s a Caverdoodle, or some hybrid name. Half Cavalier, half poodle. She’s spoiled rotten."
“The poodle half explains the black curly hair.” His dark eyes met mine and he smiled. “Oh my God. Chutney? From Legally Blonde?"
I smiled because he knew. No one here got the reference, certainly no guys. “Yep. I love that movie." Feeling my cheeks heat a little, I stood up. “I’ll be back in one second. Put your hands near the fire.”
I came back with a pair of wool socks and exchanged the socks for my dog. “Put these on. I’m going to make you something warm to drink,” I explained. “It’ll help warm you up from the inside. Hot chocolate okay?"
“Uh, sounds perfect, actually."
I left him to put on the socks, and by the time I’d heated milk on the stove and handed him a cup, he’d stopped shivering. “Oh, and this,” I said, remembering his phone in my pocket. “It was in your car."
He tapped the screen but frowned at it. “There’s still no service."
“Probably won’t be for a bit. Happens in these kinds of storms,” I explained. “You feeling better?” I asked, sitting on the sofa opposite him.
He smiled and nodded. “I am, thank you.” He sipped the hot chocolate and hummed. “I can’t imagine what would have happened if you hadn’t saved me."
I smiled at him over the top of my cup. “You probably would have frozen to death in your car."
He nodded again but he frowned this time. “I was supposed to fly into Spokane,” he added. “I’m going to see my sister for Christmas. Oh, she’s going to be so worried. And my car...well, the rental car. I slid off the road into more snow and it wouldn’t start. I’ll need to call someone about that too, I guess. I don’t even know where I am. I think I took a wrong turn."
“You’re about five miles outside of Hartbridge, Montana."
“I’m still in Montana? But I drove for ages."
I couldn’t help but chuckle. “You haven’t driven in snow very often, have you?”
“Driven in it? I’d never even seen snow before today."
My smile died because that wasn’t funny. “Never seen..."
He shook his head. “In movies and stuff, sure. But not in real life."
Oh, dear Lord. I couldn’t believe it. He’d never even seen snow before! That certainly explained his clothing choice and lack of preparedness. He seriously could have died out there if he’d gotten out of the car to try to find help. “But you feel okay now,” I said, sipping my hot chocolate.
“Much better. The fire is lovely. The socks are great, thank you.” He made a face and chewed on his lip for a bit. “I’m embarrassed, to be honest. I was trying to go by some foldable map the car rental lady gave me. I must have taken the wrong turn, and then the car wouldn’t start. I had these visions of being eaten by a bear."
“A bear?"
“Yes! You have those here, right?"
“Uh, sure. But it’s winter and they hibernate."
“Oh, thank fu—” He baulked. “I mean, thank goodness for that."
I chuckled, remembering what he’d said about being too pretty to be bear poo when I opened his car door. “You thought I was a bear?"
“Your coat was brown and your hat was brown, your gloves were black,” he said. “It was snowing and I couldn’t see because I was crying because my life is a bit of a mess—just gonna put that out there from the get-go. And I’m jet-lagged to hell and I thought it’d be a great idea to drive to my sister’s place, but the plane was diverted to the wrong state. In a car where the steering wheel is on the wrong side, and you all drive on the wrong side of the road, mind you. In a freaking blizzard, no less. Where running the car off the road is just a cherry on a very big pile of steaming...” He paused. “Not-cake."
I smiled at him, the way he rambled, the way the tips of his ears went red, the way he chewed on his bottom lip. I’d always thought it’d be a miracle should some cute guy ever walk into my life, but maybe he didn’t walk. Maybe he ran his car off the road and almost froze to death instead. And I didn’t even know his name.
“My name’s Reynold Brooks, by the way,” I said. “People around here call me Ren."
He stared at me for a long moment; his lips played with a smile. “Nice to meet you, Ren. I’m Hamish Kenneally."
I don’t know why, but hearing him say his own name woke some butterflies in my belly. “Well, Hamish. It’s nice to meet you too.”

The star-crossed lovers will need more than prayers to survive this final challenge...and find their way back to each other again.

EXCERPT:

Ridge glanced at the woman sitting next to Josie with a black lace scarf covering her head and obscuring most of her face. She seemed to huddle deeper into the folds, as though wishing to escape his notice. He started around the wagon to help his bride down and introduce himself when Luke Legend steered him away from the others.
Luke kept his voice low. “There’s something you need to know before you meet Adeline."
His chest tightened. Was she disfigured? Was that the reason for the veil? “What’s that?"
“She can’t speak."
Shock jolted Ridge. “What do you mean she can’t talk? Can’t for a medical reason? Did someone cut out her tongue?"
He’d heard how bad prison was and had once met a convict who shook and jerked all the time. Someone had used him as a test subject for a new device, rigged up with paper soaked in saltwater and something to do with zinc and copper.
A search of his memory brought no recollection of Adeline mentioning this in the few letters they’d exchanged.
“Nothing like that,” Luke assured him. “It’s more like she won’t try. The doctor at the prison said they kept her in isolation for the whole three years as part of her punishment. With no one to talk to, she seems to have forgotten how. Anyway, she’s going to require a lot of understanding.” Luke shifted and the silver conches running up the sides of his black pant legs flashed in the sunlight. “There’s more."
Good Lord, what else? What did that prison do to her?
“Someone’s hunting her."
A wave of fury crashed over Ridge. His voice held a sharp edge. “Who? And for what reason?”
“Don’t know, but Adeline does. I was waiting for her at the prison and overheard two men talking about her. One said the best time to grab her was when she came out, and that the money for the job would keep them well off.” Luke grinned. “I took her out the back way.”
“Dammit!” Ridge studied the faint bruises on his friend’s jaw that said he’d had to fight to keep Adeline safe. Anger rose. Ridge clenched his fist. Whoever wanted to harm her would now have to deal with him.
“When they realized what we’d done, they chased us. I was barely able to get her onto a train to Fort Worth.” Luke paused. “Wish I knew more."
“Makes two of us."
“The question is...do you still want to marry a hunted woman? One who might never speak?” Here was an excuse if he wanted to take it. It was unlikely that anyone would fault him for it. Only one thing wrong with that—he wasn’t happy the way he was. He needed more from life than merely existing from one day to the next. And what about Adeline? His rejection might finish the process of destroying her. Plus, she needed protection—and that was something he at least knew how to give.
“Yes, I’ll marry her—if she’ll have me."
Luke slapped his back. “Then I’ll introduce you and we’ll plan a wedding."
Ridge took some nervous breaths and matched Luke’s stride as they moved toward the wagon. Luke helped her down. She didn’t lift her head. Ridge, well over six feet, towered above the slim, petite woman.
Adeline wore a simple dress of blue calico that hugged in all the right places. Ridge grew warm thinking about running his hands over those curves. The strands of blond hair poking from the heavy black scarf were golden in color, deep and rich.
Luke put an arm around her. “Miss Jancy, meet your bridegroom, Ridge Steele. I personally vouch for his character. I’ve fought by his side and know he’s a good man to have around. He’ll fight for you until you’re strong enough to do it yourself."
She stood rooted in silence. Ridge wished he could see her face.
“That’s a promise, Miss Adeline.” Ridge cursed his suddenly raspy voice. She struck him as a wounded, exhausted little wren, battered by heavy storms. “Thank you for coming. I’m only an outlaw, a wanted man with little to my name. But everything I have is yours—if you want it.” She lifted her head and removed the black scarf. Kissed by the sunshine, her hair curled around her shoulders and flowed down her back. Emerald eyes stared up at him, framed by thick dark lashes and a jolt raced through him.
Here stood the brave, determined woman he’d seen under a Fort Worth night.
Ridge sucked in a breath. He’d been right in thinking she’d be pretty in the daylight. By God, she was beautiful. Although the others stood there, they’d somehow melted away. Adeline was the only person he could see. Shoulders squared, her determined gaze bored into him and her chin raised a notch. Despite everything, she had fight left in her. He’d probably find out how much if he didn’t watch it.
Did she recognize him as well? Her expression didn’t indicate if she did. But then it’d been dark that night, and his Stetson had shielded most of his face.
He brought her hand to his lips and cleared his throat. “Miss Adeline, I’d be honored if you’d be my wife. Will you accept my proposal?"
One jerk of her head confirmed her answer.
“Is tomorrow too soon? Or would you rather wait a few days?"
Panic crossed her face. Taking the paper and pencil Luke handed her, Adeline wrote, “Tomorrow.”

MY IMPRESSIONS OF THIS BOOK:

With each new release in the Alaska Blizzard series I've felt myself becoming a part of their family, a family made up of hockey players from around the world finding their HEAs.  They're a family who have shown themselves supporting each other through each high and low and it's endeared them to me, had me counting down the days towards each new release.  This latest release takes place during Christmas, bringing back the beloved couple of Sergei and Dani Petrov as they juggle a new baby with their young son and busy careers.  It's a tale steeped in realism that pulled at my heartstrings while giving me a large dose of festive and feel good celebration.

Dani Petrov is about ready to give birth when this book starts, ready to experience all the changes that will come with that...the fear of their young son feeling neglected, concerned that the sexual sparks between her and Sergei might fade, as well as balancing her career with motherhood successfully.  Dani was clearly trying to have it all, trying to make everything picture perfect, which led to a few moments of tears and anger.  But luckily for her she's got a delicious and supportive husband who actually talks through things with her and goes out of his way to make her smile through both big deeds as well as small.  She also has the unwavering support of the other women in the Alaska Blizzard world who help her in caring for her new baby while helping her cope with little Nico's rebellion.  Sergei's teammates also step-up throughout this story to give him encouragement and support as he contemplates retirement while still loving playing hockey.  Their comments were realistic with a bit of humor as they put their hearts out there for all to see.

From the first page to the last this was a sweet and heartwarming read that depicted a nice balance between the reality of becoming parents with the ups and downs of daily living when a new baby arrives on the scene.  Dani's emotions were a bit rattled early on but things never went too dark for her because of the large support system she has around her due to her near-perfect husband, a large group of girlfriends there at a moment's notice, and a team owner willing to spend any amount of money to make the people in their world happy.  I adored Nico as Dani and Sergei were getting together, but he was clearly unhappy here and it made my heart ache as his feelings were completely understandable with all the changes.  He ultimately showed me why I've adored him from the start and it has me greatly anticipating him reaching adulthood.  Though this is a novella I never felt that the story was lacking in any way.  There were loving interactions between a married couple as well as a scorching scene that had me fanning myself for a second or two.  There was the chaos and warmth of the holiday on display too that was a nice backdrop to all the secondary characters we were reintroduced to and who were a strong support in helping Dani and Sergei reach their HEA again. Though the ending felt a bit rushed I still found myself satisfied by this delightful holiday morsel that has me counting down the days until we revisit the Alaska Blizzard hockey team.

My rating for this is a B+

Tree picking in glorious, downeast Maine. Snow. Santa. Roaring fires, people you love, and a good life.
What more could a guy want?
Or, rather, two guys?
Mike and Jeremy have a quiet life with Lydia, on her parents' family campground in Verily, Maine. It's a little boring, sure, but after the craziness of their old lives, what's wrong with boring?
Besides, Jeremy and Mike find Lydia anything but.
As Christmas looms, and an unexpected oops leaves them all in a state of uncertainty, they have to ask themselves: is it time to let life be a little less boring?
And what's inside that slim box Lydia's giving them both on Christmas morning?

EXCERPT:

“I refuse to be the elf,” Jeremy insisted as Lydia tossed the tights at his face, the silky green fabric catching on the inside of his lip.
“But you're tall! And wiry! Like that guy in the movie."
Sputtering, he flung the cloth on the couch, one leg draped over the arm in a manner that reminded him of a brothel.
“I look nothing like the guy who played Elf,” he argued.
“With your hair all grown out like that and curly, you kind of do. You need to shave the salt and pepper beard, though."
“I do not have salt in my beard!"
Lydia stroked the side of his cheek and laughed. “I didn't know you were in denial, too, Jeremy."
He grunted, shoving his feet into his boots, but he couldn't stay grumpy for long as Lydia stood, adjusting her long, flowing red shawl. Today was the Camp Christmas Festival at Escape Shores Campground, and it was all hands on deck.
But Jeremy refused to be an elf hand.
“Miles can wear the damn tights."
“Miles is on elf strike, too."
“Can’t Pete and Sandy find some local kids to play the elves?” “The little kids still believe in Santa."
“Then find some teens to do it."
“Too jaded. Plus, they're all busy with final exams and sports."
“Get Ed and Madge up here. They can be elves."
“Grandma did it for years. It's too cold, Jeremy. They can't be outside for hours like that."
“I will not be guilted into this."
Just then, the front door to their cabin creaked open, Mike entering the living room. Wearing... a Santa suit.
