In his mind’s eye, he and his dark angel were lying on a beach, confessing their love to one another. Jake exhaled sharply. Why was love creeping into the picture again? After all his heart had been through, he still sought love?
With a grunt, he squeezed his cock, trying to skip over the love parts while focusing on the sexual aspect, but it still didn’t work. Fear sliced through his heart. He wanted her in every way imaginable, but did it mean he would soon experience the sorrow of a broken heart again? He wasn’t sure he could withstand the pain.

Sabrina is a demon whose purpose is to seduce men through dreams into meaningless sexual encounters. These encounters leave her feeling empty and alone and wanting something more meaningful. One night she stumbles across Jake and their nightly encounters end up changing her life. She senses a soul just as lost as she is as he inspires emotions in her she's never felt before. She desperately wants the chance to be with him permanently and when given the chance she jumps at it. Unfortunately things go horribly awry and her only recourse is to give up all for the man she loves.
Jake was cheated on by the woman he thought he'd be with forever and it's left his heart hardened to love. The only time he finds happiness is in his nightly dreams when an angelic woman comes to shower him with affection. When he sees her in the flesh it brings joy to his days as he accepts everything about her wholeheartedly. He doesn't see her as a demon, she's still the angel who ended his lonely days. Even when fate intervenes, it's the power of love and sacrifice that bring them back together.
For its short word count this story feels fully fleshed-out with a storyline full of action and romance. The paranormal elements were seamlessly incorporated and added an intriguing and memorable element to the story. Sabrina changes through the powerful affects of love. She was cold and emotionless before finding Jake. She became sweet and caring and it was cute watching her adjust to becoming human. Normal everyday living confused her but for Jake she was willing to conform into the perfect wife. Even though Jake was scared to tell Sabrina he loved her it was clear through every one of his actions how much she meant to him. It's only through a cataclysmic event though that they can finally reach their HEA. From its sexy beginning to its heartwarming end this story provides a rollercoaster of emotions and puts Ms. Knight on a list of authors to watch.
