MY IMPRESSIONS OF THIS BOOK:

The Sinner's Tribe MC has taken readers on a bloody and dangerous journey in their war against the Black Jacks MC and it's all come to a head in this fourth installment in the gritty and sexy series with some things tied up as well as some new doors opened. From the first page to the last this book held me captive as I was smiling one moment, with my heart pounding frantically the next, while holding on for dear life in this emotionally intense thrill ride. Readers will enjoy the expected romance between two scarred souls while being charmed by the undying friendship between two men who always have each other's backs. It all makes for an unforgettable story that has me excited for what comes next.

T-Rex's (Holt's) life once revolved completely around the Sinner's Tribe, it defined him and had him willing to sacrifice all in the name of brotherhood. Three months of endless torture and emotional desolation has changed him though, hardened him until all he can think of is revenge. Into this darkest moment comes an angel, someone else to focus on and find strength from. It changes his life irrevocably as he's left torn by his anger and a need for revenge that complicates his burgeoning romance with the bruised and battered Naiya. From that first unforgettable meeting the two of them undertake a journey of healing that has them growing closer while staying one step ahead of the Black Jacks who want to finish what they started. Before his three months in hell T-Rex was a fun-loving man known for his way with women and ability to keep the peace. He looked up to his Club's President, never questioning and just happy to be a part of the MC brotherhood. Torture's hardened him though and made him feel like a different man who did away with his road name and embraced being Holt. Holt's full of anger and doubts everything around him, no longer feeling like part of the Club which leaves him feeling adrift with only Naiya to lean on. Together they help each other heal even as their journey to HEA takes numerous unexpected twists and turns. Through it all Holt is protective of the woman who's come to mean everything to him, reunited with the friend who means just as much to him, in a story that brought a tear to my eye in the representation of these two powerful relationships and their affect on Holt's future.

From a young age Naiya found herself caught up in the MC world due to her drug addicted mother and her absent father. It was a world tainted with danger and bathed in blood and on her fifteenth birthday became a nightmare courtesy of Viper's (the series long-standing villain) claiming of her. She thought she'd put all the negative feelings about the Black Jacks behind her but attending her mother's funeral brings her back into the middle of a war. She's again merely a pawn at the mercy of men willing to take whatever they want. Meeting Holt is both a blessing and a curse as she's drawn to him and the comfort he brings her while despising getting caught up in the nastiness she ran away from. Until now she's just been existing though, hiding behind a life of quiet and control, ignoring her sexuality out of fear and shame. Holt breathes new life into her previously mundane world in scenes that are full of heart-pounding escapes to erotically-charged sexual encounters that have her slowly learning to take charge. Despite her fears of being back in this world it energizes her and has her supporting Holt despite his moments of trying to push her away out of fear over her safety. Ultimately they make a formidable couple whose paths take them in an unexpected direction that opens up a whole new world.

Holt and Naiya are compelling characters both bruised by their pasts but not broken. Holt's situation had me aching for him as he awaited help that never came. The physical pain and emotional loss made him very sympathetic and his anger at everyone understandable. He was like a beast tamed by the beauty that is Naiya's kind heart and unwavering support of a man clearly in pain. Their relationship is intense from the very start as they had to fight their way out of a deadly dungeon to take a journey that brought them closer together as their trust in each other grew to result in scorching encounters that showed his possessive side. Naiya's a good match for Holt, understanding his pain as it's similar to her own. She becomes stronger in his presence, finding herself embracing parts of the MC mentality to aid him in finding his new place in the world. Along with this steamy romance comes an unforgettable friendship between Holt and Tank (James) that pulled at my heartstrings as neither were afraid to show their feelings for each other in a reunion that choked me up. They made each other better and stronger as their friendship grew, reveling in their action-packed MC life while finding joy in the simple things. They were two sides of the same coin sharing everything and it hurt to see Tank struggle with the changes in Holt and wondering about his place in Holt's new life. Their connection was my favorite part of the story and their HEA was just as necessary as that between Holt and Naiya. Tank was an endearing character with issues of low self-esteem after a childhood full of belittlements. He was sweet with a bit of sexy and all he wants is to feel worthy of someone which had me wanting to hug him. By the end of the story Ms. Castille had balanced the romance with an action-packed plot for revenge that kept the pace flowing beautifully. Numerous twists and turns, and unexpected reveals, kept me enthralled in the outcome as new villains were discovered along the way. The conclusion was heartwarming and seems to take the series in a new direction with Tank finally getting the one who got away which has me greatly anticipating the next book and recommending this series to all fans of the MC genre!
