Book Cover Reveal for The Secret Roommate by Sara Ney……

An athlete looking for a bit of peace and quiet finds himself falling for the roommate, who was supposed to be keeping to herself, in this charming rom-com.  Keep reading to get a tempting glimpse of The Secret Roommate by Sara Ney, then start counting down the days until this first installment in the Accidentally In Love series hits bookshelves on October 4th!

All I need is a place to hide for a few weeks.
The paparazzi were on my ass 24/7 and I needed a bit of breathing room—an escape from the madness—before the media frenzy begins.
Sure, I could have gone to a secluded cabin in the woods—but I didn’t want to be bored out of my mind. I’d seen enough wide open spaces as a kid from Texas to last me a lifetime.
So instead, I let my agent hook me up with a modest house in the burbs where we didn’t think anyone would find me hiding in plain sight.
I’d have a roommate; but supposedly, she was going to give me space. Stay out of my way and respect my boundaries. According to my agent, I wouldn’t hear a peep from her.
Wrong. He was wrong about everything and now my life was never going to be the same.

Book Blurb Blitz for Renegade’s Lady by Bobbi Smith (GIVEAWAY)……

Readers get a blast from the past today with this classic historical romance that brings together a writer and the man who seems like the perfect hero for her book, though he's a bit tarnished, as well as the perfect man for a real life HEA.  Keep reading to get a tempting taste of Renegade’s Lady by Bobbi Smith, a delightful blurb from the author about this classic tale, then learn even more about this book by visiting the other sites hosting this tour.  In honor of this western historical romance make sure to fill out the form below for the chance to win a $10 bookstore GC too!

Words of Wisdom from Ms. Smith......
Hi! I had soooo much fun researching Renegade’s Lady. The heroine is a dime novel writer who goes West to research her new book. If you’re not familiar with dime novels, they were the original paperback books from the 1800s. I even managed to find a few at antique stores. One I bought is titled The Golden Belt, and it was published by Beadle and Company in 1866. What a treasure! I can’t believe it’s held up this long. So I hope you enjoy Sheri and Brand, the half-breed scout, in Renegade’s Lady!

Looking For a Hero
Sheridan St. John was a successful writer who had no need for a man in her long as she had one between the pages of her dime novels. But when her editor told her sales were off, Sheri set out for the Wild West in search of the perfect hero for her new book.
Brand, The Half-Breed Scout
The man Sheri found fulfilled her every requirement for a fantasy lover—half Apache, a tall, dark, and dangerous male—but he was completely wrong for a real-life mate. On the run from the law, Brand guarded his heart as the attraction between them destroyed her reservations, leaving Sheri with one burning need—to become the renegade’s lady.

Sheri sat watching Brand as he stood near the cave entrance. He was a tall, lean, broad-shouldered silhouette in the soft moonlight, and she shivered as she remembered the power of his touch. Strange feelings besieged her. For that one breathless moment in time when his lips had been on hers, she had been in ecstasy, and now...He had abandoned her without so much as a backward glance, leaving her unsure, confused...and a little angry.
“Do you want me to help you keep watch?” she finally asked, knowing the raiding party could be near.
“No. Stay there, where you’ll be safe,” Brand told her, knowing the last thing he wanted was to have her near him.
Brand stared out into the night, forcing himself to concentrate on keeping watch. He had to ignore the woman behind him. He knew now that he should never have kissed her. He wished there was some way to get her back to the fort tonight. The sooner he was away from her, the better.
Alone...He liked being alone. Then he had no one to worry about except himself.
He glanced back at her, and emotions he had long denied tore at him. They were under attack by renegades, and she was depending on him to keep her safe. He would not fail. He had to keep watch. He could allow himself no lapse. He’s made two mistakes that day already—missing the renegades’ tracks and kissing Sherri. He wasn’t about to make another.

Book Cover Reveal for The Rules of Dating by Penelope Ward & Vi Keeland…….

Opposites attract in this tale of enemies who become friends before the attraction between them becomes too hot to ignore.  Keep reading to get a tempting glimpse of The Rules of Dating by Penelope Ward & Vi Keeland, then start counting down the days until this sexy story hits bookshelves on September 19th!

It all started when I hosted a little party for a bunch of new friends.
Though “friends” might not be the right word since the invitees were all the women I’d found out my boyfriend was talking to behind my back. When the guest of honor walked in—aka my now ex—things took a turn...
Unfortunately, a stranger witnessed the whole blowout. I was in a mood that night and ended up giving this gorgeous guy an attitude, too. As if my night could get any worse, before he stormed off, he informed me he was actually my landlord.
Colby Lennon, along with three of his friends, owned the building where my tattoo shop was located. He and I were total opposites. He wore a tie, oozed confidence that came with years of women falling at his feet, and wasn’t afraid to say what he wanted, which lately—was me.
I hated that I found myself attracted to him. Especially since I was supposed to be on a self-imposed dating hiatus. Yet the two of us couldn’t seem to stay away from each other. We started hanging out, as friends. I even went as far as making rules for what he’d dubbed our “undates.”
But eventually, our explosive attraction became too much to bear, and we broke our resolve. I let my guard down and started to really fall for Colby.
Nothing could have prepared me for the ride he took me on. And I certainly wasn't prepared for where I'd wind up when the ride was over.
All good things must come to an end, right? Except our ending was one I didn't see coming.

The man had the sultriest British accent I've ever heard. And he looked like he just walked off a Viking boat and into a suit tailored specifically for his impressively muscular frame. Only problem is, he had the warmth of an ice pick and he kept telling me he was here to take me back to his home country.
Of course, I didn't follow him. I might be up for a good time, but I'm also educated enough to know leaving with a stranger isn't smart. Well, that's until he mentioned my mom's name. My mom who passed away several years ago.
So after some serious fact-checking, my bikini-clad bum went with him to a sub-arctic country I had never heard of just north of the British Isles, where I found out my grandpa was the king of said freezing country, and I was the one and only heir.
Desperate to learn more about my mom, I decided to give this princess thing a chance.
Good idea, right? Wrong.
Because Mr. Ice Pick was put to the task of training me and he’s not just cold as ice, he’s pompous, aggravating, and possessive. And did I mention we have to share a bathroom in a tiny castle?
We are oil and water every single day and even though he’s training me to be queen, I have this simmering desire to kneel before him.

Complication doesn’t always have to be a bad thing.
Duke Charles needs a break. He’s tired of life on the road and never having a place to settle down. He decides to head to Norville for a rest in his childhood home. Once there, he realizes his life isn’t quite so relaxed—he’s not only inherited the house, but a cat to go with it. When his friend from high school sends him on a date, he finds out how complicated life can a good way.
Roy Mars likes his life as an artist. He paints, sells work and takes his cat, Raphael, for walks through Norville. He channels his emotions into his art...until he goes on a date and meets Duke. His uncomplicated life gets thrown into chaos, not least because Duke has rabid fans who insist on knowing every detail of his life.
Can Roy handle a little complication in the form of Duke, or will he quit before he finds his forever?

“Why don’t you get a boyfriend? Let him film you. I know a guy who’d be perfect for you,” Erik said. “He’s quiet, sweet, and loves the law. His name is Francis and you’d love him. Francis and Roy has a good ring to it.”
He loved his brother, but this pushiness annoyed him. “I’m good. I don’t need to be introduced to anyone.” Besides, he’d met Francis and wasn’t a fan.
“You’ll like him.”
“I’m fine.” How many times did he have to say that?
“You need to stop being picky,” Erik said. “You’ll price yourself out of the market and be lonely.”
“So? There’s nothing wrong with being picky. It means I know what I want and won’t settle for less.” He stopped pacing. “I need to go. I want to take Raphael home before I go to Dye Hard Style. I’m supposed to show work at Crush Gallery tonight and want to look my best.”
“You can’t take Raphael there? James won’t mind.” “Maybe not, but Raphael would rather go home.”
“If you’re seen out walking Raphael, maybe you’ll attract a man who will love you and can stand your cat. If he doesn’t know you have a pet, with your luck, you’ll meet a guy who hates cats. Then where will you be?”
“Besides confused by your statement?” He pinched the bridge of his nose, then began to clean up the studio. “Love me, love my cat. No budging. Speaking of not budging, the mayor still wants that painting? I’ll leave it by the door for you to pick up. You can deliver it to him since he likes you more. I need to go, okay? I made the appointment for five and it’s a quarter after four.”
“Is it because James has a dog? I hear he got a dog.”
“Which is why I’m taking Raphael home—another reason why. I need to go. Is there anything else?”
“Nope. Have fun. I’ll get the painting to the mayor, but you need to do something interesting and put it online,” Erik said. “Film yourself.”
“Right.” He hung up on his brother. Why did Erik have to be such a pain in the ass? He affixed the walking harness and leash onto Raphael after he finished putting his brushes away. Once he tucked his keys, wallet and phone in his pockets, he turned off the lights and locked up. He headed down to the street.
People seemed to like watching him walk Raphael. How many people walked their cat? Not many.
He and Raphael crossed Memorial Park to his apartment. He took Raphael inside and ensured his water was fresh. He filled Raphael’s bowl with kibble. If Raphael wasn’t happy, then neither was he.
“Are you good?” He took the harness and leash off Raphael. “I’ll be back, okay? I’m getting a freshen up.”
He watched Raphael eat. “You’re a good boy. I wish I could find the human that liked me in the same way. Then I’d get Erik off my back and I might not be so lonely.”

Blood, sex and alcohol.
That was what Club Worth was all about.
Ever since vampires had come out to the world, people had been obsessed. Take a walk on the wild side and see what the nightclub was all about.
Acadia Powell, on the other hand, didn’t do vampires. Nor did she do messy.
What she did do was stay away from people like Constantine Worth, Master of the City, and the most gorgeous man in the history of men. It didn’t matter that he had hypnotizing eyes, beautiful lips, and the sexiest body she’d ever had the privilege of laying eyes on.
It should be easy for her to stay away, but with each subsequent encounter, it’s becoming harder and harder to fight the growing need inside of her.
Constantine Worth knew that Acadia was off limits. Not only was she human and not willing to slum it with the undead, but she was also the baby sister of the city’s chief of police. The man that liked to arrest him every other day and twice on Sunday.
He should hate her based solely on the last name she shared with her brother. Yet each time he sees her, he forgets that he’s supposed to be playing nice. She sets his blood to boil, and each time she lets the verbal slurs flow, he finds it harder and harder to maintain his distance.
Soon, he will have to make a choice. Maintain his upstanding relationship with human law enforcement, or take what he wants, and damn the consequences.

Words of Wisdom from Ms. Nickles…
I pulled my hair off the back of my neck. The long braid, wetted during my morning first swim at the campus center pool hung wet against the back of my sweatshirt. My shoulders scrunched involuntarily. My teeth chattered. I rubbed my hands together and reached to unfold a wooden seat in the cavernous lecture hall. I pulled a notebook from my backpack and read the label. Michigan History. I opened the notebook and fumbled for a pencil.
Professor Brown walked on stage, paused his elegantly dressed persona, and turned in a circle. From the top of his head to his wing-tip-clad feet, he quivered. He moved as if in the spell of the last refrain of Do the hokey pokey, you know, where you shake your whole self?
He faced stage left. He stood straight and tall, then bent in the form of a gunslinger. He shoved his hand over a pretend gun holster. He spoke to a character only he could see.
“Two Stickney?”
Professor Brown flipped to stage right and burst through an imaginary door as a changed man. “Who’s askin’?” he snarled in a slurred voice.
Professor Brown switched again and responded in the authoritative voice. “Joseph Wood, Deputy Sheriff of Monroe County, Michigan Territory here to arrest you for your actions in the Toledo War.”
“The hell you are!” The Two character screamed. He reached in his pants pocket, pulled forth a pocket knife, and stabbed Deputy Sheriff Wood in the thigh. Note: This scene required fast footwork for Professor Brown!
Professor Brown turned to face the class. “And that students, is a reenactment of the sole blood-shedding incident in the entire conflict of the Toledo War.”
I don’t remember all the details of the short-lived Toledo War, but what I do remember is the manner in which it was presented. Professor White brought history alive in the mannerisms of the characters—their speech patterns, their unique movements, and their interaction.
Love is the ingredient in Romance. What do you, the author, have in your bag of tricks to reel the reader in?
When you experience love, your senses are heightened. So your in-love character love sees the sky as a brighter blue. He smells the rain-soaked forest with the loose lungs of a beloved. He feels the warmth of the saddle soak into his thighs. His ears are open to the ten-note trill of a robin.
By weaving emotionally charged connections throughout an historical terrain, you will be creating a story that holds your reader captive.

In the Spring of 1881, indigent seamstress Ginny Dahlke arrives in one of the earliest Polish American settlements-Parisville, Michigan. Deemed charmless and awkward by her mean-spirited sister-in-law, Ginny disparages her chance of securing love. But sought-after widowed farmer Peter Nickles is enamored by Ginny's perseverance, her pioneer spirit, and her inclusive acceptance of the indigenous peoples of Michigan. The seductiveness of a buxom heiress, a twisted story of an old-country betrothal, and the largest natural disaster in Michigan's history-The Great Thumb Fire of September 5, 1881, challenge their fledgling attraction and ultimate committal.

Peter sat atop the hay bale. Joseph’s shadow grew deeper and then faded away. For the first time, he and Ginny were alone—if he didn’t count a barn full of bawling sheep, milk cows dunking their heads in feed pails, Buster and Blue lazily flicking their tails, and slinky cats prowling the hay. His breathing came ragged. His chest puffed. He bent at the knees, shoved his hands under the bulk of shorn fleece, slowly aligned his spine, turned toward Ginny, and lost sensation in his arms. He dropped the pile, scattering barn dust and errant wool strands.
She stood idle. The sunshine pouring through the slats on the barn’s east side outlined her silhouette. The soft hollow in her neck swelled and emptied. A clothesline, bare for the warped wooden pins straddling it, swayed between its oak tree moorings behind her. She lifted the tray, set Joseph’s glass on it, and held her hand for his drink.
“I’ll wash your shirt. Sorry I spoiled it.” She leveled her gaze to his.
He turned the glass in his hand. A single mint leaf stuck to the bottom. He fished it out with a finger and rolled the bumpy foliage in his palm, releasing its scent. He rubbed the leaf on his wrist and opened his mouth. He bit into the sprig, savored the fresh prickly taste, and swished it around his gums and teeth. He swallowed.

Carol Nickles is the sixth generation of a German textile aficionado family. In 1881, her great- great-great-grandfather founded Yale Woolen Mill—the longest-lasting of Michigan’s once twenty-nine woolen mills. Carol earned a Master’s degree in Historic Clothing & Textiles at Michigan State University. Her thesis is a narrative of the Yale Woolen Mill. She held faculty positions at both Utah and Michigan State universities. She lives in West Michigan and enjoys spinning a tale, weaving a story, and threading a luring hook.

Book Release Blast for Landon by Marie James (REVIEW)……

For years two friends have fought their growing attraction to one another until the obvious can no longer be ignored in this New Adult m/m romance set amidst the backdrop of the MC world.  Keep reading to get a tempting taste of Landon by Marie James, along with my impressions of this emotional and steamy romance, then add this 22nd installment in the Cerberus MC series to your bookshelf!

He ruined a lifelong friendship the night he kissed me.
I spent the next three years avoiding him.
Well...I tried at least.
With my dad being a member of the Cerberus MC and his dad married to one of the members it was virtually impossible.
Just like it was impossible to keep from watching his mouth when he spoke.
The same went for staring at his hands and remembering how they felt on my skin that night. Senior year of college, after years of keeping our distance, we ended up in the same dorm room. Avoiding him now is no longer an option...
Landon is a bi-awakening, best friends to enemies to lovers novel.

The Cerberus MC series has been one heckuva rollercoaster ride through 21 previous books!  Number 22 is yet another winner, taking readers on an emotionally intense journey of two lifelong friends and the feelings that evolve to break them up before bringing them back together.  It's a journey of acceptance of yourself, embracing love whoever offers it, and not letting the judgements of others keep you from your HEA. This is a tale that spans years, breaks your heart early on, before putting a smile on your face with a satisfying conclusion.

Rick and Landon had been friends for years before a traumatic event led Rick to confessing his secret love for his best friend.  It's a moment that pulled them apart though with Landon unable to admit what he's spent years fighting...that he feels the same for his friend.  My heart broke for Rick at that moment, for being brave enough to admit the truth about what's in his heart and being turned away...being ignored for years in fact before fate brought them back together as roommates whose closeness led to Landon no longer being able to keep his true feelings hidden.

Throughout their frustrating and emotional journey I truly liked Rick.  He had a big heart that he simply wanted to give to Landon, he simply wanted to be seen as someone Landon could love, instead of being kept at arm's length.  Landon especially frustrated me because of the casualness of the hurt he caused Rick, hurt that was mostly because of his indecision and fear over how others might see him.  Once he admitted his feelings to himself though he was all in and his actions started to charm me.

Theirs was a hard-fought journey to HEA, one that put them and readers through the wringer.  Things might've started out slow but they turned steamy halfway through in encounters that were tender and sensual.  Once these two started to talk I was truly touched by their maturity and the openness of what their being together means. Though this book is part of the Cerberus MC series it focuses solely on Landon and Rick. Secondary characters, family and friends, are seen but the action is totally of the emotional kind as we watch these two become men in love with each other.  It's a heartfelt read that's a refreshing addition to the usual MC fare and is one I definitely recommend!

My rating for this is an A-

*I got this book from the author for review in exchange for my honest opinion.

Let's see...where to begin...
I'm inching up on the BIG 4-0. The gray hairs are doubling what seems like daily, and the wrinkles and laugh lines are more pronounced than ever.
I have an amazing husband (Married just over 15 years.)
We have two boys we're doing our best to raise as respectful gentlemen.
I have a master's degree in criminal justice which I used to work as a juvenile probation office until deciding to write full- time in June of 2019. So that means there's usually always some criminal/law element to my novels.
If I'm not writing; I'm reading.
My favorite genres recently are bully/reverse harem and enemies to lovers. Maybe I'm reliving my traumatic teen years through the girls who actually end up with the boys. (Not that I would change my history since it's gotten me exactly where I need to be!)
I love coffee. I miss carbs. Music is LIFE. I try not to be too serious.
