MY IMPRESSIONS OF THIS STORY:

I Remember You features one of my favorite story elements: that of a rock star main character.  The world of rock music is full of energy and sensuality, both of which Ms. Metal presents in a very realistic and steamy way, and make every romance hotter.  Along with the rock star lifestyle we also have a story of lovers reunited.  Young lovers were torn apart by a lie but Fate intervened to reunite them ten years later, when they're both older and wiser, and they're finally able to make their personal dreams come true.

Lance's family was from the wrong side of the tracks but he couldn't help being drawn to Samantha who came from a family of money.  He always felt inferior to her which caused many of their problems until the day he finally made a commitment to her.  Just when everything started looking perfect his past came back to haunt him and they were forced to separate.  Ten years later Fate has them meeting at a gas station where their attraction is just as strong as when they were teens.  Neither wants to part without fulfilling the sexual fantasies they've always harbored for each other which leads to numerous hot and heavy sexual interludes between the time he leaves the stage until the time he goes back.  After a taste of the happiness to be found in each other's arms they need to decide if it's worth all the hardships that tour life brings or if they can again live a life of loneliness.

Lance had a hard time growing up.  He felt inferior which ate away at his relationship with Samantha.  He never felt good enough for her which kept him out of her life for ten years even when he had the chance to reunite with her years earlier.  It's not until now as a rock star that he feels worthy of her.  The lows he reached without her have made him a stronger more worthy man for her.  He goes after her wholeheartedly through words and music to finally experience all the sexual fantasies he's envisioned with her since they were teens.  Except for losing Lance, Samantha's life wasn't nearly as dramatic as what he went through.  She went to college and dated, but no man ever equaled the feelings she felt for Lance.  Seeing him now she feels great pride along with the attraction that never left when he walked away.  She's now willing to do whatever it takes to keep him as she's a stronger more mature woman.  The girl who once walked away has matured into the woman who wants him in her life no matter how chaotic the rock world is.

Ms. Metal vividly presents the concert scenes in all their heartpounding and sexy glory that you become totally immersed into these scenes.  The sexual tension from their teen years has evolved into numerous hot and heavy sexual encounters as adults.  The use of lyrics beautifully portrays the feelings Lance has for Samantha.  Considering how important music is to him, knowing that all the love songs are inspired by her reveals the depth of his feelings throughout the years and bodes well for their HEA.  Though this story is short it feels like a full-length book due to its fully fleshed-out storyline, nice pace, and characters who are easy to connect with.  Readers who enjoy books featuring rock stars will definitely want to add this one to their bookshelves.

My rating for this is an A.

*I received this book from the author in exchange for my honest opinion.
