Book Release Blitz for Beautifully Devoted by Michele Lenard…

Friends become something much more in this contemporary m/m romance full of emotions and humor.  Keep reading to get a tempting taste of Beautifully Devoted by Michele Lenard, the second installment in the Front Range University series, then add this sweet and sensual sports-fueled tale to your bookshelf!

Forgetting to Knock Changed Everything.
Cam
When I was ten, I made a promise. One that I’m still honoring a decade later, even though it means hiding a part of myself from the most important person in my life.
My best friend, Jagger.
And truthfully, burying that part of me is a small price to pay if it means nothing comes between us. I’m Jagger’s rock, the one stable thing in his life, and I’ve held that role for so long it’s now central to who I am. Which is why, after he sees something he shouldn’t and gets an idea that he wants my help with, I’m faced with the biggest decision of my life.
Saying yes could break me, but saying no could break us. I guess there isn’t really a choice, is there?
Jagger
There I was, innocently letting myself into my teammate’s room to search for some protein powder, when I came across a different type of protein altogether.
I learned two things that day. Knock first, and straight guys might be missing out.
As usual when I have an epiphany, I turn to my best friend Cam for help, and learn another two things. Neither of us is as straight as I thought, and I’m not the only one who needs protecting. Hopefully I can be as strong for him as he’s been for me.

Hi! I'm Michele-or at least that's the name I write under-because my parents and my kids are not allowed to read my books. Ever. Though sports romance is my guilty pleasure, I like to dabble in all tropes, genres and genders. My books are set in my home state of Colorado, because to me the mountains are the only thing that can compete with a good book. My favorite food is Mexican, my favorite shoes are flip-flops, and my drink of choice is whiskey, the same as virtually every character I've ever written.

They say nothing in life is promised, I know that now. When everything I've ever known imploded I made the impulsive decision to leave it all behind by moving to this small town where nobody knows my name.
They also say to expect the unexpected, and I just might like that more.
Alex
They say you can't have it all and I'm starting to think they're right. I have a thriving business and great friends- so why is it I've yet to find The One?
Something else they say? Good things come to those who wait - and I've been one hell of a patient man.

MY IMPRESSIONS OF THIS BOOK:

Readers looking for a little afternoon delight will get just that with this sweet tale of self-discovery and starting over in a small town.  When two men find themselves suddenly single after the end of their relationships, sparks soon start flying in the basement of a hardware store in an endearing meet-cute that put an immediate smile on my face. Amidst talk of nuts and bolts, both men discover mutual attraction that leaves both of them questioning their future in a straightforward talk that I truly appreciated.

Though this is a novella, making it a quick read, I still found their burgeoning romance satisfying.  Alex and Jackson are a very likable pair with interactions that were crackling and teeming with sexual tension.  Their scenes warmed my heart and were utterly charming as they navigated their new feelings.  On a whole I enjoyed their journey, but with a quickly rushed conclusion I'm left hoping that we see more of them in the future. The only other issue about this book revolved around the lack of editing.  For me it's not a big issue, but it did have me rereading some sentences to clear up confusing moments.  Despite that small quibble I definitely fell for Alex and Jackson, fell for their sweet small town personalities, and was rooting for them from start to finish...and by the turn of the final page you'll be rooting for them too!

My rating for this is a B-

*I got this book from the author in exchange for my honest opinion.

MY IMPRESSIONS OF THIS BOOK:

Fans of romances that take time to build will fall for this story with each turn of the page as two opposites find that they're perfectly imperfect together.  The more time these two spend together the closer their hearts grow, the more truths are discovered, and the more I laugh and blush as Vaughn starts learning about the online adult entertainment industry.  Add in some entertaining secondary characters and you have a well-rounded tale that I read in one afternoon of delightful bliss.

Vaughn's life is falling apart at the start of this book.  He's lost his job and found out his wife's been cheating on him for months.  While wallowing in misery and drinking into oblivion, he discovers an OnlyFans site that he becomes obsessed with.  Though he's never identified as gay, Vaughn can't help but be drawn to one young man as he reaches out to him as a newbie wanting to learn the ropes of being successful as an online content developer.  The connection between Vaughn and Camden sizzles from the very beginning as these two coworkers become friends before slowly becoming more.  With each moment spent together they discover more hidden depths to one another.  Both start off with walls around their hearts, caused by their painful pasts, walls that are slowly chipped away the closer they get to one another in a burgeoning romance that warmed my heart.

Vaughn's the older man in their slow-burn romance, a man who's a bit grumpy and a bit unsure about where he wants his life to go.  Camden is ten years younger and using his online income to pay for college.  He's a breath of fresh air from the start, a sweet and sexy young man who's confident in what he does for a living.  He's had a tough upbringing with a mother whose relationships were one disappointment after another while being unlucky in love himself.  At the start he wants nothing to do with love (or kissing), but with the bond growing between him and Vaughn, things slowly but surely lead to love.  With each turn of the page Camden learns to trust in his heart, while Vaughn learns to be less regimented and embrace life more.

On a whole this is a scorching tale with a slow-burn romance between two apparent opposites.  It utterly charmed me at times while making me blush often courtesy of scenes on their websites as well as a romance that heats up slowly but steadily.  The depiction of online adult entertainment, along with Vaughn's new self-identification, was done in a respectful way that made this story even stronger.  I completely fell for Vaughn and Camden's pairing, relished each and every interaction.  The inclusion of secondary characters Bodhi and Elias added another decadently delightful layer to this book (courtesy of tantalizing tastes of intriguing backstories) that has me counting down the days until the next installment in this series hits bookshelves!

My rating for this is an A-

Book Release Blast for Landon by Marie James (REVIEW)……

For years two friends have fought their growing attraction to one another until the obvious can no longer be ignored in this New Adult m/m romance set amidst the backdrop of the MC world.  Keep reading to get a tempting taste of Landon by Marie James, along with my impressions of this emotional and steamy romance, then add this 22nd installment in the Cerberus MC series to your bookshelf!

He ruined a lifelong friendship the night he kissed me.
I spent the next three years avoiding him.
Well...I tried at least.
With my dad being a member of the Cerberus MC and his dad married to one of the members it was virtually impossible.
Just like it was impossible to keep from watching his mouth when he spoke.
The same went for staring at his hands and remembering how they felt on my skin that night. Senior year of college, after years of keeping our distance, we ended up in the same dorm room. Avoiding him now is no longer an option...
Landon is a bi-awakening, best friends to enemies to lovers novel.

MY IMPRESSIONS OF THIS BOOK:

The Cerberus MC series has been one heckuva rollercoaster ride through 21 previous books!  Number 22 is yet another winner, taking readers on an emotionally intense journey of two lifelong friends and the feelings that evolve to break them up before bringing them back together.  It's a journey of acceptance of yourself, embracing love whoever offers it, and not letting the judgements of others keep you from your HEA. This is a tale that spans years, breaks your heart early on, before putting a smile on your face with a satisfying conclusion.

Rick and Landon had been friends for years before a traumatic event led Rick to confessing his secret love for his best friend.  It's a moment that pulled them apart though with Landon unable to admit what he's spent years fighting...that he feels the same for his friend.  My heart broke for Rick at that moment, for being brave enough to admit the truth about what's in his heart and being turned away...being ignored for years in fact before fate brought them back together as roommates whose closeness led to Landon no longer being able to keep his true feelings hidden.

Throughout their frustrating and emotional journey I truly liked Rick.  He had a big heart that he simply wanted to give to Landon, he simply wanted to be seen as someone Landon could love, instead of being kept at arm's length.  Landon especially frustrated me because of the casualness of the hurt he caused Rick, hurt that was mostly because of his indecision and fear over how others might see him.  Once he admitted his feelings to himself though he was all in and his actions started to charm me.

Theirs was a hard-fought journey to HEA, one that put them and readers through the wringer.  Things might've started out slow but they turned steamy halfway through in encounters that were tender and sensual.  Once these two started to talk I was truly touched by their maturity and the openness of what their being together means. Though this book is part of the Cerberus MC series it focuses solely on Landon and Rick. Secondary characters, family and friends, are seen but the action is totally of the emotional kind as we watch these two become men in love with each other.  It's a heartfelt read that's a refreshing addition to the usual MC fare and is one I definitely recommend!

MY IMPRESSIONS OF THIS BOOK:

Ryan Bailey and Grady Bell were friends and teammates throughout most of their lives, close as could be, but not as close as Ryan had hoped.  With time winding down before they went their separate ways though a clandestine kiss changed everything between them.  It led to seven years of silence fueled by Ryan's fears over thinking Grady was disgusted by what happened, while Grady was left hurt and confused by his best friend ghosting him.  But when Grady's forced into singing the National Anthem at the final game of the World Series he and Ryan are back in each other's lives, working through unspoken feelings and addressing how their fragile relationship will survive in the spotlight in this endearing and sensual m/m romance.

Ryan and Grady are a delight to watch.  They are opposites in their personalities but fit just perfectly together. That doesn't mean that their journey to HEA goes smoothly but it wasn’t overdramatic either as I was rooting for them every step of the way.  Ryan’s the son of a one-time baseball player which has made for some heavy obligations and living a life that isn’t always his own.  Though he’s out to his family it’s not something they talk about and they still have hopes of him bringing home the perfect girl.  His life therefore revolves around baseball and a few, secretive hookups with men who sign NDAs.  Ryan’s life is one big secret which leads to a rather solitary existence with few friends.  The closest friend he has is his outspoken agent Jenny and though she sometimes rubbed me a bit wrong I always knew she had Ryan’s back.  Living such a secretive life broke my heart as Ryan’s a truly caring and loving man, one who respects his parents and wants to make them proud, but disappointed by them too as he can never really be himself.  He’s a thoughtful hero, one who thinks things through before acting, which was a good balance to the brash Grady.  Grady’s multitalented and could’ve either played pro baseball or make music.  He ultimately chose becoming a rockstar and it’s led to massive success and a life lived in the public eye.  He’s had many relationships over the last seven years but never felt fulfilled by any of the women.  In life and love something always felt missing…Ryan.  He was deeply hurt by Ryan leaving him behind which is why he uses the opportunity fate has given him to the fullest, moving into Ryan’s house for the three weeks he’s has off from touring to truly reunite with the man who’s always been his other half.  Though Grady’s the son of a homophobic pastor he never let it taint his views of others as he’s an open-minded, non-judgmental, rockstar who lives life to the fullest and is saddened to hear that his friend can’t live openly too.  Grady’s utterly delightful, jumping into everything wholeheartedly.  He doesn’t overthink things like Ryan, but instead grabs on to living with both hands.  He’s fun and flirty and quickly accepts his newly-acknowledged attraction to Ryan without blinking an eye in a relationship that’s a slow-burn early on before turning steamy later.

There’s oodles of sexual tension surrounding these two in their “gay for you” romance, tension that’s blatantly obvious from the start.  Their foundation of friendship made the story even richer and more believable as their ties were crafted from a young age.  I was completely immersed in their journey to HEA, rooting Grady on as he worked to prove himself to Ryan.  On a whole this was a quick read with very little angst to get in the way of my enjoyment.  The main couple was pure perfection with personalities that were beautifully balanced along with sweet and sensual interactions that made me chuckle one moment while making me blush the next.  Alongside this decadently delightful main couple were a few secondary characters who stood out.  Jenny and Waylon, agents to both the lead characters, were outspoken yet caring and supportive of their clients. Waylon especially could be counted on for a comedic contribution.  This was a wonderful and fresh read, a m/m romance that warmed my heart and had me clapping at the turn of the final page, one that I wholeheartedly recommend as a well-crafted addition to Ms. Dykes’s backlist!

My rating for this is an A.

Book Release Blast for Rainbow by KL Savage (REVIEW).......

A man who devotes himself to fighting fires longs to find something else worth living for when he discovers an attraction to a paramedic, an attraction to a man for the very first time, in this emotional and angsty m/m romance.  Keep reading to get a tempting taste of Rainbow by K.L. Savage, along with getting my impressions of this first installment in the Ruthless Kings MC: Baton Rouge series, then add it to your bookshelf!

Fire is the reason why my life changed.
And I'm the reason why fire doesn't stand a chance.
I'm a smoke jumper.
I save those who can't be saved.
But somewhere along the way, smoke has blinded me.
I've forgotten there is more to life than saving lives, but I can't press pause.
A category five hurricane heading straight toward us changes everything I ever thought I knew about myself.
For instance, Ryan Hathaway.
Paramedic from Vegas. Sexier than sin. Sassy. A man.
I've never wanted a man.
But I want him.
And he makes me feel the hottest I've ever felt.
Fire can't even compare to him.
Only thing is, he doesn't do straight guys. It's his rule. What I love about rules is that they are made to be broken.
And I'm going to make him rewrite everything he thought he knew.
Nothing is ever black and white, though.
It's the details that live in the shades of grey that we need to watch out for.
The hurricane dislodges one of my MC brother's hate and hits us harder than the storm does. Wind. Rain. Blood. Death.
The storm is far from over and our lives are at stake.
I live my life to the fullest and I won't die with regrets.
Ryan is the blaze I never want to fight.
If we go down, we will burn together.
Extinguishing us is not an option.
Because after a storm, there's always a rainbow.
I'll be damned if I don't finally see what's at the end.

MY IMPRESSIONS OF THIS BOOK:

Fans of m/m romances will find themselves drawn to this series starter of insta-love, exhilarating action, and suspense.  From the moment these two men meet readers will be frantically turning the pages as their surprising romance starts gaining strength.  At the same time danger from the outside world, along with Mother Nature, seeks to end what's just started between them.  Along with two immensely likable main characters, readers will also be introduced to an equally appealing cast of secondary characters, members of the MC that make for an unconventional family that has me counting down the days until the next book in this series hits bookshelves.

Before making his way to Baton Rouge it was just Nathan Rainbow Kennedy, his younger brother Greer, and tragedy.  Coming into contact with the men of the Ruthless Kings MC though gave them a support system, a new way of life, and a whole new set of brothers to make life fuller.  Rainbow's a delicious hero from the very start, a supportive and caring man with a kind heart.  Add in strong and sexy, as well as being a firefighter, and you have an unforgettable and dream-worthy hero.  Never before has he ever been attracted to a man, but the moment he sees paramedic Ryan is the moment where everything changes for him.  He's drawn to Ryan in an insta-love kind of connection, a connection that was both sweet and sexy at times.  He claimed Ryan from the very start and made it quite clear that no one else would do for him...he just has to prove it to Ryan in a romance full of angst and heartfelt emotions.

Ryan Hathaway's the new paramedic in town, a man with a painful past that has left his heart and soul bruised.  A slew of bad relationships has him doubting the meaning of love and particularly doubting men who haven't yet come out as he never again wants to be someone's experiment.  Firefighters too are banned from his dating list which means Rainbow will have to work twice as hard to win Ryan's fragile heart in a romance that had me rooting for them every step of the way.  Ryan's an immensely likable hero, one of smaller stature and a bit feminine around the edges physically but tougher on the inside as he's out and proud when it comes to his sexuality.  Though he's leery of all the feelings Rainbow engenders in him he can't help but give in to his instant attraction. From there it's a non-stop rollercoaster ride as outside forces wage war on this couple while matters of their hearts have them engaging in an inner battle of emotions.

This was an engaging story from the start courtesy of a delightful main couple, each with painful pasts that have made them who they are today.  For Rainbow especially, the fiery deaths of his parents when he was a teen set him on a path to becoming a firefighter, made him a caring man willing to put his life on the line to care for and protect others. His relationship with his brother Greer (aka Mime) was particularly sweet and heartwarming and endeared Rainbow to me all the more.  Ryan was equally as appealing but I didn't fall for him quite as much as I did to Rainbow.  Some of Ryan's actions, bits of his personality felt stereotypical, so I didn't connect to him as fully but despite that I still enjoyed his romance with Rainbow.  I also appreciated that the Ruthless Kings MC was not the usual/stereotypical MC.  I loved that they were fully accepting of others regardless of color or sexuality, they truly represented family and were just what Rainbow and Greer needed as teens as well as now.  I further enjoyed the glimpses of others in the MC with Mime being my absolute favorite.  I'm breathlessly waiting for his story as it promises to be intensely emotional yet full of heart courtesy of a brother who supports him unconditionally.  As a disabled person I'm especially excited for its release as I love seeing an imperfect hero find his HEA.  From start to finish readers will be on the edge of their seats watching a burgeoning romance pick up steam.  Readers will also be waiting to see the next moment of danger from threats befalling the MC as well as a hurricane coming to further put everyone in danger, frantically turning the pages in this well-crafted series starter!
