Book Tour for Rebel Bride by Morgan K. Wyatt (Promo & GIVEAWAY)

The Wild West just got wilder in Morgan K. Wyatt's Rebel Bride.  Keep reading to discover more about this fiery hero and heroine as well as commenting for the chance to win a gift card!  Please welcome Morgan K. Wyatt.......

Eileen Sewell sparks plenty of gossip by spiteful matrons and their horse-faced daughters that she’d find herself alone due to her picky ways. Of course, she didn’t believe them. Then again, she also didn’t expect to be a mail order bride either. It wasn’t easy snagging a husband who hadn’t heard about her willful nature. Eileen finally gave up hope of finding love, and decided to settle for whatever she’d find out west. If that wasn’t lowering enough, she’d just witnessed the first train robbery. Unfortunately, the outlaws saw her too. Enter Marshal Colt Sheppard, who excels at extracting information from reticent witnesses. His crooked smile and broad shoulders shouldn’t charm her. She’d played this game before, only she never had a worthy adversary. Talk about bad timing.

EXCERPT:

“I thought you were educated, but you are plumb ignorant.” Eileen snorted at his remark and puffed up like a guinea hen, but that didn’t stop him from talking. “We are way north of Mexico. Train doesn’teven run that far south. You have no clue where you are, do you?” he asked with a superior grin.
“Yes.” She sniffed, raising her nose a bit. She had no clue where she was. Who’d have thought a robber would be better educated than she? It didn’t seem right. She didn’t pay great attention to books and maps, but she and her sister had a better education than most genteel females, too good if anyone queried her mother on the matter. Agatha Sewell declared too much knowledge was what kept her oldest daughter from marrying. Obviously, it was untrue, since she could not locate even Mexico. Her not being married had to do with having high standards and dreams, not education.
She had her chance to marry into some of the best families of the south, but she stubbornly held onto a dream. A vague image of a man who challenged her, met her toe-to-toe, face-to-face, lip-to-lip. Her dream man image shimmered and vanished. Colt’s smug countenance replaced it. Never had a thought occurred to her that she would look at a Yankee with desire, but she never felt anything close to what she felt for Colt with anyone else. She squeezed her eyes shut and balled up her fists, trying to force Colt out of her brain. There was no reason to dwell on a man who left her. If he had stayed with her, his robber would have found him.

AUTHOR INFO:

Morgan as a child had to suffer through movies with clueless heroines rescued by smart men. Her mother dutifully read her stories where princesses waited for princes to jumpstart their lives. There were no proactive female role models in the media at that time, with the exception of Wonder Woman. It is for this reason, and that it is fun, Morgan writes about strong women going after what they want.

She has a blog about dating after forty on www.datingafterfortyeight.blogspot.com

    1. Hi Anonymous,

Eileen has pretty much given up all hope at his point. It has been a rough time with the war, advertising herself as a mail order bride, now a train robber. A woman does have a breaking point.

      Thanks for commenting.

  11. The excerpt made me laugh. Obviously with the education she received, she should have taken more notice of geography.
