A Q&A WITH MS. AUSTIN....
T.A.  Hello!  Thanks for having me on your blog today.  It's great to be here.
TSP:  Knowing what you do now about the publishing business, would you have made any different choices?
T.A.  No. I don’t believe in regrets. I believe in learning what I can from the choices I’ve made—and I’ve learned a lot. I’m grateful for all of it.
TSP:  What are the best things, and worst things, about being a writer?
T.A.  I love giving voice to all the characters in my head. They’re like real people to me. The downside is that I’d rather be home talking to imaginary people than getting out of the house and making contact with real people. Sometimes I have to force myself to be social.
TSP:  Why are readers drawn to bad boys and how would you describe your perfect bad boy?
T.A.  A bad boy doesn’t care what anyone thinks of him. It takes a certain strength of character to go against the societal stream. He’s got a rebellious streak and isn’t afraid to use it. He can’t stick with one woman for long. This, I think, is the allure of the bad boy. All women want to tame him. If you can take that bad boy and turn him into a monogamous man while he still retains that don’t-give-a-damn attitude—except where his woman is concerned—you’ve got a hero on your hands.
TSP:  If this book were made into a movie who would play the leads and why?
T.A.  Hugh Dancy—the early aught years—and Mila Kunis.
TSP:  What's coming up for you next?
T.A.  I'm working on an underground bare knuckle fight club series called the Irish Brawlers.  It takes place in Chicago and features--you guessed it--Irish expats.  I love this world!
TSP:  My blog is all about favorite things, what are your favorite things?
T.A.  Movies--offbeat ones, not superhero blockbusters.  Books--all sorts, all genres.  Beads--I've never met a bead I didn't like.  Board games--if it involves zombies, all the better.  And music--mainly old school funk and early 80's new wave.
Thanks again for having me on today. It was a pleasure!

Iain wasn’t just rough around the edges—he was uncivilized, despite all the elegant trappings and expensive suits. And Brynn wanted more of it. She wanted Iain in full-on barbarian mode.
She wanted to be taken.
Filthy rich British bad boy Iain Chapman made a name for himself as a ruthless businessman, but if he can secure an investment from Vegas powerhouse Trevor Blake, Iain could take his business to the next level. Solution? Hire beautifully timid corporate trainer—and Trevor’s sister-in-law—Brynn Campbell and seduce his way to success.
Brynn's everything Iain is not: kind, delicate, decent. But she’s also got a taste for something a little beastly, and it doesn’t take long for Iain to break through her every inhibition. Brynn was supposed to be his pawn, but as Iain gets closer to his goal, he begins to realize he’s not ready to let her go, not now, not ever—even if it costs him everything.
