MY IMPRESSIONS OF THIS BOOK:

Ten years (in the Decker Family world) have passed since Ms. Burgoa broke reader's hearts with a cliffhanger that left us battered and bruised.  This book drops readers right back in the middle of their drama by bringing Gabe and Ame together to help care for her young niece and nephew.  While they unite to be a family for two youngsters dealing with their recently disabled (and addicted) mother, they also start working through the pain of their own pasts in order to finally reach their long-destined HEA.

It's a raw and gritty journey for Gabe and Ame as he reveals all that happened leading into the cliffhanger and all the other events that befell him and drove him from her.  The reason for their reunion is believable and seamlessly fuels everything that follows.  From hard truths being revealed, to second chances being given, there were plenty of scenes that made my heart bleed.  There were also blissful moments of delight as seen through the text streams between this couple, streams that warmed my heart while making me blush.  Throughout their second chance Gabe worked hard to prove himself to Ame, went above and beyond to care for those she loves, while slowly releasing the chains around his heart to fully embrace the HEA within his reach.  As for Ame, she's accomplished much since their separation, but along with that her heart's become more and more jaded with a wall surrounding it that's gotten higher and higher.  It added even more heartache to the journey to forgiveness Gabe was undertaking along with frustrating me as she had him twisting in knots in a dance of push and pull.

Along with a memorable main couple there was an equally appealing cast of secondary characters.  From the various members of the Decker Family with their humorous banter and supportive actions, to the rebuilding of a love meant to be, this was a tale full of emotions that kept me glued to the pages.  Ms. Burgoa had me cursing her name at the end of the previous book and I knew it would take a lot of work to lead readers to a satisfying conclusion.  But lead us there she did, in a journey of ups and downs with Ms. Burgoa playing our emotions like a maestro!  Each turn of the page had me rooting for this pair more and more, investing me fully in their hard-fought journey to HEA, and I recommend it wholeheartedly to those wanting a tale full of heart and soul!

MY IMPRESSIONS OF THIS BOOK:

They say that "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas", but for Jordan and Peter they were left with a decade of anger and regrets after their unforgettable one-night stand.  Seeing each other after ten years apart hasn't diminished their sizzling chemistry but it's reinforced her anger over Peter just walking away with him desperately wanting to fix the past to make a HEA with her now.

From the moment they see each other again, Ms. Winter cranks up the heat while twisting the screws of angst which leads to a rollercoaster ride of emotions.  Peter's a character I didn't always like as he allowed his family to be an anchor to his HEA.  When it came to his steamy plan of making amends though, I found myself liking him a bit more.  Jordan's a likable heroine, one who deserved real answers 10 years ago.  I enjoyed the interactions between her and her family which highlighted how stunted Peter was when it came to family.  He definitely had to work for her forgiveness…as he should have!

The chemistry from ten years ago was still more than obvious, if only these two can put aside past hurts and his family's interference.  There's A LOT of angst, mixed with sizzling encounters, in their rocky road to HEA.  It's a frustrating journey that could've gone smoother had they just talked from the very beginning.  The constant familial interference overshadowed every one of their second chances and felt like an intrusion he should've rid himself of sooner.  Despite my frustrations I still found this a solid and satisfying romance that has me looking forward to Ms. Winter's next book release!

MY IMPRESSIONS OF THIS BOOK:

The Iron Outlaws MC series continues to entertain, and stir up emotions, with this sixth installment of second chances with a secret child to boot!  Though there's a central theme of danger from a rival club running through each book, building in its suspense, you COULD read this on its own but each book builds on the next and creates a world you won't want to miss.  From the first page to the last Ms. Cole captivates readers, presents a couple both realistic and compelling, and gives them another chance to find HEA while putting their lives and futures on the line.

Bates is the Enforcer for the Iron Outlaws MC and he lost the love of his life when she turned her back on the MC world...as well as him.  Time has passed but the hurt and anger is still there, so when he discovers that she's making a living writing romances based on their past, he decides to confront her.  From the moment they're breathing the same air again, the temperature skyrockets and emotions are stirred as he discovers a daughter he never knew existed, and a love that never died for the one who got away.  Bates has intrigued me from the moment Ms. Cole introduced him. On the outside he's the proverbial biker, a bad boy vibe with an air of danger surrounding him.  Beyond the tough guy facade though is a man full of heartfelt emotions, a dirty talker more than willing to be the inspiration for the next romance book written.  Upon meeting the daughter he never knew about, he shows a soft and cuddly side, embracing fatherhood wholeheartedly while pulling at my heartstrings.  He's a delicious other half to a woman equally as strong as him.

Years ago Viola Mills walked away from the MC lifestyle out of fear and Bates' devotion to the Club that made her feel second best.  She might not want to live the MC life, but she sure is happy to write about it as she turns real life into fiction.  When Bates arrives at her door, the past comes roaring back.  Old feelings of love resurface, putting them on a rocky road of second chances amidst forgiveness and danger.  Though she's tried to stay out of Bates' world, she'll need the MC's strength and protection once she and her daughter become a target for the true bad guys of this series, the Righteous Brotherhood.  Viola's reasons for leaving Bates years ago are understandable and easily relatable as fear and doubt are strong motivators.  To make a good life for her daughter, Avery, and herself, she embraced what she knew and became a writer in a decision that I applaud.  She's a strong heroine, one who quickly accepts the unconditional support and protection of the Club she's long pushed away, and which puts her and Bates back together in sizzling scenes full of heart and soul.

With a clever and unique reason behind bringing this couple back together, along with the intense feelings of love and familiarity that fueled many scorching encounters, this is a book that entertains completely.  Seeing this family in the making come together amidst danger from the outside had my heart racing while keeping me on the edge of my seat.  Bates and Viola are a formidable couple who share heartfelt feelings, sweet and sensual interludes, and put the past behind them to build their future amidst threats that had them employing every defense at their disposal.  Their daughter, Avery, was a delight!  She was cute and sweet and I enjoyed the softer side she brought out in Bates, as well as the other brothers of the Iron Outlaws MC.  The men and women of the Iron Outlaws are a colorful, strong, and supportive group who unwaveringly protect those they call family.  From start to finish this is another well-crafted tale in a series that continues to entertain while keeping me breathlessly awaiting each new installment!  And with Halo closing out this book, there's much to look forward to when Ms. Cole releases her seventh book next!

MY IMPRESSIONS OF THIS BOOK:

Second chance romances are amongst my favorites and the feelings between these two pulled every one of my heartstrings in a journey that brought out a plethora of emotions.  I was at times charmed, while frustrated on occasion too, in a romance that spanned years and made me fall even more in love with the hero with each turn of the page.

Adrian Drake has been in love with Paige for over ten years, but has had to hold himself back because of her being his brother Cade's best friend.  It's a line he wasn't willing to cross...until he did, which led to the end of everything between them.  The heart wants what the heart wants though and he's never stopped wanting her.  So when their paths cross again he shows just how determined he is to claim her...as well as keep her safe from a stalker.  Adrian's a determined man, a CEO used to barreling his way through work and life, which made for lots of witty banter and exchanges teeming with sexual tension as Paige led him on a merry chase.  Despite his occasional overbearing nature I found Adrian a delicious hero, someone not afraid to show his feelings even when he can't speak the words.

Paige Summers is still angry regarding the events that happened over ten years ago, still wants nothing to do with Adrian for breaking her heart and for ruining her friendship with Cade.  Even with a stalker hunting her down she wants no help from Adrian and pushes him away at every turn in a journey full of groveling that was almost a bit too much at times.

From the very start though it's clear these two have a connection, and through glimpses from the past to the present, readers get to feel that connection simmering still today. There's a lot of hurt coming from Paige and she makes Adrian pay for his actions from years ago, but it doesn't dissuade him from protecting her.  He has no intention of letting her get away again in a journey that kept me glued to the pages, relishing in his protective Alpha instincts, and enjoying the steamy interactions that I wish had been hotter but were no less satisfying!

My rating for this is a B+

MY IMPRESSIONS OF THIS BOOK:

As a fan of rockstar romances I find myself never getting enough.  I revel in each new book being released, chewing at the bit for each new book set in the rockstar world to hit my iPad.  This second installment in A Rebels Havoc series brought out a slew of emotions in me as I frantically gobbled up each and every page.  By the turn of the last page I'm left wrung out, yet satisfied, by the angsty and hard-fought journey to HEA this appealing couple took us on.

Tysin Briggs is the typical rockstar, oozing confidence and sex appeal.  He's drool-worthy with an air of cockiness surrounding him, an attitude that keeps him from committing to any one woman.  There once was a time though where he did give himself to another...his best friend's little sister.  Past pains, and heartbreaking words and deeds, ended what was just beginning between them but fate has brought them back together again with the spark of love slowly reigniting.  Tysin's a bit rough around the edges, a bit hard to like early on, but there was still something about him that called to me.  And with each turn of the page, with each layer of what makes Tysin the man he is revealed, it became obvious why I was drawn to him.  To the world he was self-assured, but his past was one that beat him down emotionally, made him feel unworthy of love and walking away before getting left behind.  His past led him to making poor decisions and hurting others out of fear of getting hurt himself, making him look like a jerk, but in reality he's just a scared little boy in a sexy man's body.  He has a lot of love to give and as the story progresses he finally decides to fight for what he wants...knowing that he can no longer live without Kyla as he makes the most of his second chance.

Kyla once thought Tysin was her everything, after an unforgettable summer fling, but it's been two years since their relationship imploded and she's definitely moved on...as seen by the ring on her finger and the fiancée on her arm.  Her brother needing her help while his band's on tour puts her in close quarters with Tysin once again though and has them dealing with past pain and hard truths that changes both of them (and their futures) irrevocably.  Kyla's an immensely likable heroine, one who's strong and sassy, one who gives as good as she gets.  She's had her own painful past, one she dealt with on her own that had my heart breaking for her.  Despite having to be around the man who broke her heart, Kyla shows herself to be a loyal sister and friend by joining the tour. She's a strong support to everyone, fitting right in like a member of this handmade family.

In a story full of angst, a bit of steam, and a lot of heart, readers will find themselves utterly captivated. Emotional buttons will be pushed, tissues will be needed, as each page is turned in this richly rewarding second chance romance.  It's a gritty world readers find themselves in, the rockstar lifestyle on vivid display.  Tysin's a deliciously flawed hero, one you can't help but be drawn to through all his good and bad moments. Kyla's a great heroine, one who made the hero better, in a connection full of heart and soul.  The secondary characters (the bandmates) made this story even richer, added a familial layer to the story and gave enticing glimpses of stories yet to come.  On a whole, fans of rockstar romances will find much to like about this book and it's one that I definitely recommend!

MY IMPRESSIONS OF THIS BOOK:

As the third installment in the Redemption Hills series this was a romance that was a long time coming.  The epic love story of Logan Lawson and Aster Costa comes full circle here, reaching the HEA it should've reached years ago.  From the first page to the last readers will find themselves captivated by the love story that once was and the love story that is trying to be once again.

From previous books Logan always showed himself to be a fun-loving playboy, the sweet and charming uncle without a care in the world...at least that's what he showed the world.  Behind that mask though is a man still longing for his first real love, resentment and anger still bubbling beneath the surface over all that tore him and his love apart. When he gets the chance to get her back in a poker game he jumps at the opportunity and from that moment on readers get to see a more serious and intense side to Logan. Here he's a man on a mission, a true protector determined to keep the woman who's always been his in his heart and soul.  Logan's truly swoon worthy through his sweet and sexy words and deeds and with each turn of the page I fell for him even more as he grabbed his second chance with both hands.

Aster's a woman determined to start over after years in a marriage and a life she wants no part of when readers see her at a poker game where she becomes the prize.  Seeing her one and only love gives her a ray of hope, a hope that she can leave all the ugliness behind that their years apart left her with.  Their road to HEA isn't an easy one though as it's full of angst and surprising twists and turns due to the past that refuses to let them go.  Aster's a likable heroine, one who's been through a lot but stayed strong. She's the perfect match for Logan as the connection between them practically jumped off the pages.

These two started out as a modern-day Romeo and Juliet, meeting and planning a future together in secret.  It's heartbreaking to see the early days of their love, see their hope and joy...it brought a tear to my eye. Seeing them as adults you still see that hope and love, this time mixed in with steamy interludes.  These star-crossed lovers kept me glued to the pages, caught up in their angsty journey to HEA.  By the turn of the final page I'm left immensely satisfied and ready to start this series over again from the start as these three siblings are the quintessential book boyfriends.

My rating for this is an A.
