Franny
My last name opened the doors, but proving I was worth the title of TV producer took all of my time. He walked in with a chip on his shoulder.
I was happy to point out all his flaws.
Falling for him was inevitable.
When scandal hits, no one expected me to stand by his side. Not even him.

MY IMPRESSIONS OF THIS BOOK:
Time to jump back into the hockey world with the next installment in Ms. Madison's Only One series as the Bad Boy of the Ice, Brad Wilson, meets his match the moment he has a one night stand with Franny Grant. In a story where there's more than meets the eye with characters, readers will find themselves quickly captivated by the main couple, blushing at their steamy encounters while cheering them on when the drama comes raining down on them.
Brad Wilson's seen as the proverbial bad boy, a bit of a jerk throughout the series thus far. He gets into fights, both on and off the ice, and flits from one woman to the next. He's the kind of guy who just doesn't seem to care what people think of him. Here though, readers are introduced to the man behind the facade of past pain, and it's a reveal that made me want to hug him. With a sad family history he’s learned that he can only count on himself. He’s put a wall around his heart, becoming a loner who thinks he's wanted only for his money and fame. With each turn of the page though another layer is revealed and readers get to see a sweet and lovable man who, upon finding just the right woman, is also a determined man who stops at nothing to win the heart of the woman who claimed his the moment they met. Wilson’s a delightful dichotomy of bad boy who’s oh so good! He’s a master at dirty talk, but also sweet and supportive when things take a bad turn for them. He might’ve been a player before, but with Franny he makes it clear that he’s all in from the very start. Between them are a lot of sizzling encounters as well as sweet moments full of smiles and it made for one heckuva entertaining journey to HEA.
Franny Grant comes from a family who lives and breathes hockey, but she wants to make a name for herself far beyond the family dynasty. So she leaves everything behind to start over fresh and finds herself immediately caught up in the sexy web of bad boy Wilson. In a relationship that starts out merely physical it’s not long though before Wilson’s pushing for something more meaningful and long-term, putting his heart on the line in hopes that she’ll do the same. When scandal strikes it tests the fragile bond recently forged in scenes that affect not only them but those around them. Their reactions to it had me cheering and further showed that this is a couple meant to be together. Throughout her journey to HEA I found Franny to be a refreshing heroine, strong and independent with a willingness to speak her mind about what she wants when it comes to the physical side of a relationship. She’s frank and open when talking about her needs, but less willing to engage her heart, which made it all the harder for Wilson to win her over. Franny’s the kind of heroine you root for as she dealt with every adversity head-on, never taking crap from anyone or caving under the pressures inflicted by others. When it comes to family though, they’re a caring and supportive bunch with interactions that made me laugh and smile. I enjoyed seeing these familiar faces and had my heart warmed by their support for this couple when scandal erupted.
On a whole this was another sensual and satisfying addition to the Only One series. Though the storyline was familiar I found Wilson and Franny a compelling couple. I enjoyed their witty banter, sweet and tender moments, along with their many sizzling encounters that made their connection crackle from the very start. I was drawn to Wilson and happy to discover the softer side hiding behind the bad boy facade…though his naughty side was definitely appealing too. I applauded the tough and strong-willed heroine that Franny showed herself to be and was cheering her on from the first page to the last. Seven books in and this is still a series that I recommend. From its appealing characters to sizzling romance full of heart and soul, all set within the world of hockey, Ms. Madison continues to entertain and I’m happy to continue the journey with her!
My rating for this is a B+
