From the award-winning author of TAKE ME HOME TONIGHT comes the final story in her red-hot Rock Star Romance series, about a loner rocker finding his perfect duet.
When Cooper Hood left Snowberry, Montana ten years ago, he swore he’d never go back to the town that painted him with the same brush as his addict mother. But right in the middle of his band’s national tour he gets a call to come home: his mom’s got a whopper of a secret to reveal.

EXCERPT:
As they stood so close in the shadows of the covered porch, the connection between them alive and vibrant, Cooper realized his desire for her had changed. His attraction wasn’t that of a kid with a painful, unrelenting crush. He was a man who wanted things from her he didn’t have time to explore. “I should go. Thank you for everything. Today…tonight…” He shrugged.
“I’m glad I could be there for you."
He should go, but the potent energy between them kept his boots rooted. “Are you dating anybody?” He had no business asking, and yet he waited for her answer with as much anticipation as finding out his paternity.
“No. I mean, it’s Snowberry. The dating pool’s not that big. And if you break up, you’re stuck in each other’s faces the rest of your lives. I had two boyfriends in college, and I dated a little when I took my first job in Blue Sky, but going out with tourists grew old quickly. What was the point?” She looked away. “I think I’m just at an age where I’m not going to waste my time hanging out with someone who doesn’t excite me.” And then she let out a shaky breath. “If it doesn’t feel like this” –she wagged a finger between them—“then why bother?"
A fireball of heat rocketed through him. His heart thundered. He stepped closer and cupped her elbows. “What exactly does this feel like?” He shouldn’t have asked. Because as surprising as it was to learn about her interest in him as a kid, it didn’t have the same impact as feeling her body heat up, watching her lips part, and her lids lower.
“It feels…” Her tone held a hint of whimsy. “Inevitable."
When her fingertips touched his chest, electricity raced across his skin. His rational mind blurred, as he leaned into her, his mouth drawn inexorably to hers. Her raspberry-pink lips, close enough to kiss, elicited a fierce pang of desire that struck so deep and wide his heart ached.
“Cooper.” She reached up and cupped the back of his neck, and with a tug she bridged the distance, joining their mouths. Just the barest contact sent a shiver of the sweetest, most perfect burn down his spine.
He’d never wanted any woman the way he wanted Daisy Charbonneau. And when her fingers gripped the hair at the back of his neck he had to have her.
The moment he closed his mouth over hers, she leaned into him, holding him in place as though she feared he’d stop.
But he couldn’t. And when he licked into her mouth, their tongues touching, lust punched him. He went completely, painfully hard.
Daisy. This is Daisy. Her scent enveloped him, and her hair feathered over his arms, his hands. Like everything else she did, she threw her whole self into the kiss, and when she shifted closer, pressing her curvaceous body against his, he thought he’d go up in flames. His palms spread wide on her back, needing to touch every inch of her at once. With firm pressure, he slid them down—slowly, so he could feel the rise of her ass. When he had her cheeks in his hands, he couldn’t resist giving them a lusty squeeze. She moaned. Jesus, Daisy moaned, her body melting into his.
A bark of laughter from the path ripped them apart. He took a step back. The cool of the evening air snapped reason back into him. “Sorry."
Her fingertips touched her mouth, and she looked disoriented.
“I’ll, uh, I’ll let you go.” He turned and jumped off the two stairs of her porch. But with each step he took away from her, the more frantic he became. Because this was it. He’d leave in the morning, and he wouldn’t see her again. He stopped at the end of the walkway and found her stepping into the warm yellow light of her house. “Daisy."
She leaned against the frame, her hand resting on it like it had on his chest.
Haloed in the warm light she looked soft and round and so damn beautiful. He would never forget the way she’d moaned in his arms. “Goodnight."
She nodded, pushed off the frame, and disappeared inside her home.

THE PREVIOUS BOOKS IN THE ROCK STAR ROMANCE SERIES:
MY IMPRESSIONS OF THIS BOOK:
The idea of rock stars getting stuck in the great outdoors may elicit chuckles from some, and while there's a few smiles here, there's also charm and heartwarming interludes as a rock star returns home for a visit that soon becomes more. With the beauty of Montana as a backdrop, old hurts and secrets revealed rise to the surface in this sweet and sexy romance. With its immensely appealing main couple and delightful cast of secondary characters readers will find themselves quickly captivated by this tale of family and forgiveness.
Cooper's life growing up was one of loneliness and starvation as the son of an addict. He felt separate from the town as it seemed there was no one who cared about him as he struggled to survive. Being seen as the bad seed of the town left him bitter with only two bright spots...music and Daisy. Daisy was sunshine and someone he thought he would ruin with his dirty hands. He dreamt often of what could be between them but left when his other love--music--gave him the opportunity. Ten years later and his life couldn't be more different as he now has wealth and fame. Returning home reminds him of all the pain he grew up with, but each day also brings new revelations. He slowly finds a place for himself, with Daisy by his side, along with a new family and new roots that scare him along with being all he ever wanted. Being with Daisy though is the biggest life-changer as he realizes how much he loves her and how he doesn't want to ever leave her. His love for his band and career though war with her love for home which leaves their HEA in doubt and had me aching for him as he desperately wants it all. Cooper's one sexy beast with his talent for dirty talk and body oozing with sex appeal. He's full of hurt when he arrives in town, bitter from the past and wanting to keep his walls up, but with each day he finds himself getting more entrenched in the town and Daisy. He arrived as a hurt little boy and became a man through Daisy's love.
Daisy had a bit of pain in her own childhood with an absentee father who gave her more promises than love. It hardened her heart every time he forgot about her and soon she decided to only count on herself. The only time her heart beat faster was in the presence of Cooper. She was drawn to him and saw all the good in him, but all she got was his friendship. His return ten years later has her wanting to take their friendship to another, sexier level. Though she knows he's leaving soon she can't help making as many memories as possible. Because of her father though she doesn't trust what they could become. The only thing she's ever found comfort from is her hometown. She loves every acre, and has bonds with everyone there, which is why she's so desperate to see it thrive. With Cooper's help, the first time she ever had someone to count on, they bring a life-altering event to the small town that finally puts it on the map. But with her heart committed to her hometown, and now committed to Cooper, will she find a way to have it all or will she let fear keep her stuck in one place? Daisy's a truly kindhearted character who sees the best in everyone. She never let Cooper's past define him and with his return she does all she can to make him feel loved. While her fears have her causing a roadblock in their journey to HEA that made me frustrated she redeemed herself with a Grand Gesture of her own to make a memorable conclusion.
This was a sweet and sentimental story that proves you CAN go home again. Cooper held such bitterness towards the town he grew up in but it made him who he now is. Seeing him finally find a place for himself, find an unexpected family, was heartwarming to see. Daisy's love for her town was also endearing and drove her to making Cooper feel a part of it as it would be proof of his love for her. Their chemistry was off the charts with scenes that crackled and teemed with sexual tension. There were plenty of erotic encounters balanced with sweet and heartwarming moments that laid a nice foundation for their HEA. Along with with this appealing main couple were the denizens of Snowberry and their colorful and down to earth natures. The most compelling of them being the Blackstock family whose connection to Cooper added much drama to the story. The sons were sexy and rugged, with their reactions to Cooper ranging from antagonistic to playful banter, and I'd love to see them get their own tales told. Adding even more drama to the story is a vindictive former rocker who tries to sabotage the music festival Daisy and Cooper are trying to put on. His inclusion felt a bit soap opera-ish, and unnecessary as it stretched this story out longer than need be, but thankfully his presence was mostly in the background. As this is the series ender it was nice to see all the members of Blue Fire show up to support Cooper. It was nice to get an update on them all and it ended this book with a bright shiny bow!
