As a fan of rock star romances I found myself quickly captivated by Darren and Tori in a story that stands strongly on its own. Ms. Jacob crafted a hero with a big heart living in a world full of superficiality and introduced him to a strong-willed woman who sees the man behind the fame. Theirs is a journey full of heart and soul and with each turn of the page I cheered even harder for them to reach their HEA.
Darren Ash had a life-altering one-night stand two years ago, an encounter that he still can’t stop thinking about. To the outside world he embraces the benefits of fame, but behind the rock star facade no other woman can match the one who left him without a way to contact her. Finding her now gives him the chance to claim her once and for all, gives him the chance to make his heart whole, but it also makes him discover some secrets that he might not be able to forgive in a romance full of emotional highs and lows. Darren’s a delicious hero who’s not your typical rock god. He’s not interested in groupies as he wants something meaningful in his life and it’s his two year hunt for the one who got away that endeared him to me. Darren often wore his heart on his sleeve too and I liked getting the early insight into his heart as it made him all the more likable.
