Scott, along with getting my impressions of this sweet and sexy romance, then add it to your bookshelf!

One night will never be enough.
~
We made a pact. One night.
No strings.
No attachments.
No numbers exchanged.
I caved and gave Harrison Decker my number anyway. He just chose not to use it.
Four years later, his job brings him back into my world looking more handsome than ever and now making an effort to befriend me. Is my heart willing to take another chance on that man?
Call me crazy or crazy in love. Either way, I’m not falling for him. Again.

EXCERPT:

I don’t fall for chicks.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not heartless. I’m just wise as to why they’re trying to pin me down. If I’ve learned one
thing while growing up in Los Angeles with my last name, it’s that nothing comes without strings attached. Everyone wants something from me. Besides my good looks.
At this point in my life, I’m more interested in building my career in real estate and proving to my dad that I’ve earned a spot in the family business. Women are fun but a major distraction. I leave my dates sexually satisfied while keeping my emotions out of it. I get in, in every sense, and I get out.
So why am I staring at the woman sleeping naked beside me, trying to figure out how to make this last more than one night?

MY IMPRESSIONS OF THIS BOOK:

As a reader who enjoys witty banter and heartfelt emotions throughout their romances, I consider Ms. Scott one of my go-to authors.  This release is yet another delightful romp, one that charmed me while frustrating me a time or two as well.  All in all though this was a nice tale of second chances, the perfect way to get me over that midweek slump.

From the moment they meet, Harrison and Tatum have a crackling connection, one that he (for the first time) would love to see go beyond one night, while she sees nothing but an end she wants to save her heart from.  Though she tried to walk away, fate had other plans by bringing them together over and over in moments full of sexual tension that slowly but surely has her at war with her heart while giving him a chance to finally win her over.  It's definitely a bumpy journey though as Tatum's fears constantly have her taking two steps back for every step forward.  She also tends to think the worst of Harrison even when he's done nothing wrong which led to lots of frustration for me as well as my difficulty in liking her.  Early in the story Harrison's seen as a playboy, but it quickly becomes clear that he's become drawn to only one woman (Tatum) and no other will do.  He charmed me from the very beginning and my heart ached for him when Tatum shot him down at the start.  He was determined though and through words and deeds he slowly went to war in a battle to claim her heart.  Tatum was more difficult to like as she caused a lot of extra problems for herself by not talking through things, through misunderstandings, and preconceived notions.  While she's had issues in her past she continues to let it sabotage her happiness and a future with a man who clearly cares for her.  That's not to say that there wasn't anything admirable about Tatum as I found her a loyal friend with a strong will.  I applauded her determination to take a more prominent role in her job and improve herself which was a good foundation for improving matters of her heart.

This was an entertaining tale with some compelling twists and turns, some life-altering events that have a profound effect on this couple.  Tatum and Harrison have a sizzling connection with banter that had both of them giving as good as getting with fiery words as well as sweet moments.  Throughout it all I fell more and more for Harrison as he's the newest addition to my list of book boyfriends for his never giving up on Tatum despite all the roadblocks she put up.  Surrounding this engaging main couple was the couple from the previous book who readers get to see where life has taken them...and what a heartwarming life they now have...one that helps fuel the deepening connection between Harrison and Tatum.  From start to finish Ms. Scott has crafted another satisfying romance, one with a few frustrations but also one full of heart and soul.

My rating for this is a B+
