Q:  School is out!  What's your favorite summer book read?

A:  I don't have any one favorite book!  I tend to read more shorter-length books in the summer as I don't have near enough time with summertime activities distracting me.

Q:  Is there a song that reminds you of a book?  Or vice versa?  What is the song and book?
A:  The book that immediately came to mind is Backstage Pass by Olivia Cunning, a book all about the world of rock n' roll.  The song that I most relate to it is one Ms. Cunning mentioned herself and that is Addicted by Saving Abel.

Q:  If you could hang out with any author (living) who would it be and what would you want to do?

A:  Everyone who visits my site knows I'm obsessed with J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood so I'd definitely want to meet Ms. Ward.  As to what we'd do while hanging out....Well, I love bowling ....so we'd bowl.....and while bowling I would covertly pick her brain to discover what she has planned for the BDB series in the future.  Nothing too exciting but there you have it!

Q:  We are about to see a lot of posts & tweets about reader conventions, RT, BEA, ALA and many more are starting soon. Which one would you love to attend?  Where and why?

A:  I've unfortunately never gone to any of these gatherings and don't see it in my future either as I never seem to have disposable income.  Not only that but as a quadriplegic I'd have to pay not only for me but for a person to come with me to help me get around.  In a dream world though I'd LOVE to go to RT. It seems like THE convention to go to as most of the authors attend.  It seems very well run with lots of entertaining activities.  I look forward to other bloggers' posts as I get to live vicariously through them.

Q:  Have you ever read a book you thought you would hate - ? Did you end up hating it? Did you end up loving it? Or would you never do that? 

A: For the most part I wouldn't read a book that didn't appeal to me on some level.  That being said, I've read two books over the last two years that I wasn't sure what my feelings would be after reading them.  The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins left me in awe and happy to have read it.  A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin is a book I so wanted to like but was left unimpressed by.  It was too bloated with characters and story to keep my attention.

Q:  Tell us about the most emotional scene you've ever read in a book - and how did you react?

A:  The book is Annie's Song by Catherine Anderson.  The heroine is deaf and mute and becomes pregnant after being raped by the heroes brother.  The hero marries her to keep her safe and slowly starts to fall in love with her and the little family they've created.  So much in her life has been out of her hands and he doesn't want her to feel forced anymore so he sends her away to school.  Through a number of letters and little comments she makes he gets jealous and realizes he doesn't want to be without her.  The scene where he comes to get her and she signs, for the first time, that she loves him brought a tear to my eye and as a disabled person too it made me wish I could find someone just as compassionate.

Q:  What is your guilty pleasure as far as reading?  Is it a genre, or is it a certain type of book?

A:  My favorite kind of read that I have to hide from my friends and family are books in the m/m (male/male) genre.  Whenever I mention a m/m title they always act a bit shocked followed by, "You're reading what?".  I'm still drawn to these titles though for the character's strength and show of a softer more emotional side.

Q:  Activity!  Hopefully warm weather for most of us is here soon...so tell us about your favorite outdoor reading spot.  Or take a picture.

A:  Since it's too dark outside right now to take a picture, I'll describe my reading place instead.  Since I'm in a wheelchair anywhere makes for a great reading spot.  During warm weather though I sit on my front porch where I can have direct sunlight all day long.  It's a bland spot, nothing picturesque, but when I'm reading who needs scenery?!?

Q:  What is a book you didn't like that all your friends raved about or what book did you love that wasn't popular?

A:  I will answer the first part of this question as a book immediately jumped out at me that perfectly answers that question.  A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin makes for a wonderful TV show but I felt that the book dragged on and on and on.  Too many characters with too much going on made for a book that bored me to tears but that all my friends keep asking.....Have ya read it, Have ya read it?!?!  They seem disappointed when I tell them I didn't like it.

Q:  Confess your blogger sins!  Is there anything as a newbie blogger that you've done, that as you gained more experience you were like--oops?

A:  It seems so long ago since I was a newbie.  But honestly, I can't think of anything I did horribly wrong.  It's the little things that bug me still.....like not catching a typo, STILL NOT having a button made (I know you're all mocking me that I still haven't managed to make one--LOL), or not having my post look picture perfect.  I'm a Type A person so it's the little things that bother me.

A:  This is to my secret boyfriend Qhuinn from JR Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series.... Qhuinn, I have seen you grow from a young man full of anger and loneliness to a man's man still full of anger and loneliness.  The meaningless sex, and living a lie with someone that's not right for you, will not ease your loneliness.  Stop fighting Fate and fearing what other's think and beg the REAL LOVE of your life to take you back after you so callously threw him at someone else.  Grab that HEA (even if it's not with me---I can still dream!) and let's see some steamy make-up sex!

Q: Happy Mardi Gras! If they were throwing the HOTTEST books off of a Mardi Gras float -- what would you do to have them throw to you…?

A: I'm built like a 12-year old boy so flashing people will earn me nothing.  LOL!  Instead, I shall use cold hard cash.  Most likely a $1 bill since I foresee a visit to see strippers amongst the rest of our Mardi Gras partying.  After all, I'm treating this as I would Vegas....what Happens at Mardi Gras Stays at Mardi Gras!

Q: What is the first thing you would do if you woke up to find yourself in your favorite book?

A:  One of my favorite books is Dark Lover by JR Ward.  The first thing I'd do after buying some stylin' going out clothes would be to visit the club Zero Sum where I'd be able to gaze (and drool) adoringly at various super sexy BDB Brothers.  Of course I'll make sure to avoid any Lessers as baby powder makes me sneeze!

Q: What is the last book that kept you up late into the night just to finish it?

A:  It was over a year ago...but The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins kept me on the edge of my seat and I couldn't wait to finish it!  Some books since then I've spent many late night hours reading, but THG kept me up until the break of dawn!

Q: Who is your favorite villain from a book?

A:  Even though he's nasty to the core, I really enjoyed Lash from JR Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series.  He was at first one of them but then committed the ultimate betrayal.  He didn't shy away from hurting women and children and I liked having a name to boo against as opposed to a whole group. There were no hidden good layers, just evil to the core!

Q:  If you could choose one supernatural being/creature to really exist, what would it be and why?

A:  I'd love to see/be a werewolf.  With its recuperative abilities, strength, long life, and only one night a month inconvenience, of all the otherworldly creatures this one would be the least life-altering and scary.

Q:  What New Years Blogging or Writing resolution have you placed on yourself?

A:  I actually have quite a few things I really have to do.....I WILL finally create a blog button (as God is my witness...thankfully, I have almost a year to do it...LOL), write A LOT more reviews, and be more social in the blogosphere.  I'm always so busy though that I never seem to have time to do anything beyond my one daily post which frustrates me.  I'm a work in progress though, so give me a little time to meet these goals.

Q: What book do you think everyone should read? If you could gift the entire population with one book?

A:  Wow, that's a great question!  There are a lot of books I love for various reasons that I could recommend.  If I have to choose just one, I choose The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins.  It shows in a dramatic and gutwrenching way how little value people place on a life, especially in this skewed view of reality TV.  The class distinctions are also eye-opening.  This is YA not for the faint of heart that opens doors for intriguing discussions.

Q: What have you learned from book blogging that you didn't know before about the publishing industry?

A:  I've always hated how long it takes for books to be released and now I know why.  The numerous edits and other business aspects are what really adds on the time to release date. Before this I just thought authors liked torturing us.  LOL!

Q: What is the last book that made you cry? Tell us about the scene...

A:  I actually haven't cried while reading a book.  Some books are emotionally draining and make me feel warm and fuzzy, but not to the point of crying.  Those books that most affect me have disabled people getting their HEA while remaining disabled.  One that sticks out is one I read many years ago.  It's Annie's Song by Catherine Anderson and the final part of the book where the deaf/mute Annie gets sent away to school because the man who married her out of sympathy wants her to live life, gave me lots of warm fuzzies.  Without her, Alex realizes how much he really loves her and how much richer she made his life.  The time that passes as he sees her blossoming without him and his finally admitting the truth to her was an amazing HEA and one I've always dreamt about.
