Book Blurb Blitz for The Warlord's Stormy Skye by Gail Kroger (GIVEAWAY)……

Readers will be drawn to this sci-fi story of a strong and sassy heroine with psychic and magical abilities who's being hunted down by a crazed witch who transformed herself into a spider...along with sexy alien males hoping to claim her as their mate.  Keep reading to get a tempting taste of The Warlord's Stormy Skye by Gail Kroger, then learn even more about this witty and steamy rom-com by visiting the other sites hosting this tour.  In honor of this seventeenth installment in the Coletti Warlords series make sure to fill out the form below for the chance to win a $20 bookstore GC too!

My name is Skye McAllister, I’m a psychic witch and a healer. My life is a rollercoaster ride of craziness. My unique electrical powers have a bunch of alien males eyeing me like I’m prime rib at an all-you-can-eat banquet.
If that wasn’t bad enough, a crazy old witch transformed herself into a half-human Kotsor spider and is trying to kill me with hexes, magical bombs, and her zillion hatchlings. Have you ever tried to disarm an enchanted bomb with space Neanderthals trying to claim you as their mate? It’s a good way to die.
To keep me alive, Zarek, the Coletti Overlord, assigned me a partner. Vorian is a badass War Commander who is used to people obeying him immediately. Like that’s going to happen. I will admit he’s sex on two legs, and so damn pretty. But if I let my hormones dictate my actions, we’d be bound for life. Not happening.
Once we rid the galaxy of Mallox and the evil spider lady, I’m ditching his fine ass.

EXCERPT:

I winced. I had let my temper get the best of me and now my energy levels were dangerously low. Which meant I’d have to drink Vorian’s blood to disarm Marion’s nasty little traps. Ugh. Plus, if I didn’t find a way to stop them, my rabid suitors were going to get me killed. Talk about a rock and a hard place. If the price of saving Earth was becoming Coletti until I could conjure up a cure, so be it. I took a deep breath and gestured at the onyx ownership band Vorian held in his left hand. “How do you put that thing on?”
The War Commander stared at me in surprise. “You are prepared to become my mate?”
The thought of having sex with any male made me sick to my stomach. “I thought human females disgusted you. This will be a platonic partnership, nothing more.” I held out my hand. “Deal?”
Vorian’s eyes narrowed speculatively, then he took my hand. “Deal.” I looked at Zarek and raised an inquiring eyebrow.
A faint smile on his face, Zarek nodded. “I have no objections.”
“The copper etchings state you belong to me,” Vorian said as he fastened the band around my throat. “Oh yay! What I’ve always wanted. My very own dog collar.” It adjusted to fit my neck perfectly.
Vorian expelled a long breath. “Most females consider it an honor to be chosen.”
“I’m not most females.”

I was a 9-1-1 dispatcher for the Glendale Police Department and to keep from going totally bonkers – I mean people have no idea of what a real emergency is. Take this for an example: I answered, “9-1-1 emergency, what’s your emergency?” And this hysterical woman yelled, “My bird is in a tree.” Sometimes I really couldn’t help myself, so I said, “Birds have a tendency to do that, ma’am.” The woman screeched, “No! You don’t understand. My pet parakeet is in the tree. I’ve just got to get him down.” Like I said, not a clue. “I’m sorry ma’am, but we don’t get birds out of trees.” The woman then cried, “But... What about my husband? He’s up there, too.” See what I had to deal with? To keep from hitting myself repeatedly in the head with my phone, I took up writing.

With the political machinations of two planets vying for control over the colony, perhaps together, they can bridge the gap between their worlds.
What to expect: Glorious world building, spicy alien romance, friends to lovers, enthusiastic consent. Recommended 18+ due to sexual content.

EXCERPT:

“I am a First Warrior.” He stroked his animal fur, which she had successfully avoided looking at until now and pointed out a series of gleaming metal pins and buttons along the edge. “Each of these represents a successful campaign.”
Denara shuddered and turned back to the medicine cabinet, trying not to regard the dead animal. Lucius was moving before he was consciously aware of it. “Why do you do that?”
Suddenly he was very close; she could feel the heat radiating from him. He had moved so fast and silently that she had not heard him move. She spun around, backing up into the medication shelving, knocking several boxes to the floor. “Do what?” she stammered.

“Shudder and turn away? What displeases you so? I saw you do the same thing when you regarded me at the introduction social event.”
He was very, very close. She could sense his energy. It was distinctly feline - curiosity with a contained violence and ruthless intelligence. It was highly unusual, and nothing in all her years of experience had prepared her for the closeness of such a male. He seemed to suck up all the air in the room.
“Oh...it’s nothing.” He regarded her, his eyes deepening from their usual pale blue to a dark navy. She was transfixed at the sight. “Why do your eyes do that? Is it an evolutionary adaption? Or a deliberate genetic alteration?”
“Deliberate alteration. It allows us to see minute biochemical and heat changes, a useful enhancement for a warrior. It also allows me to see when you lie. I saw your displeasure at the first meet yesterday as well.” He cocked his head at her, studying her reactions, attempting to determine the source of her distress. The dark stranger within him was demanding that he find the source of the problem, kill it for her and lay it at her feet in tribute. “Something displeases you, Healer. Inform me of it, my lady, and I will remedy it immediately.”
“Could you, could you back up a bit please?” she gasped out, and he took two measured steps back, to place himself against the opposite wall, as far away as he could get in the small space.
“My apologies, I did not mean to frighten you. I observed you standing close to Odran yesterday and assumed it was acceptable in your culture. I would never touch you without your permission.” She detected a faint thread of hurt in his emotional resonance. “Or perhaps it is me you don’t wish to stand so close to.” He nodded, thoughtfully, examining her reactions in his mind. “Yes, that is it. It is I that distresses you. I shall remedy this by removing my presence.”

EXCERPT:

“You could have been hurt.”
“As could you.”
“I don’t give a damn about me.” His grip tightened, but his gaze shifted away. “I won’t have you endangered. And...and you shouldn’t have had to witness that.”
“Witness what?” His words surprised her. “You were unbelievably courageous. You saved us.”
He stiffened. “Most élithe don’t like Martian savagery.”
Her heart turned over. There was more to his reaction than just annoyance over her refusal to listen to him. More even than just fear for her well-being. She might have felt it through their bond if both of them weren’t so riled up, a swirling storm of emotion that only stoked the other’s temper higher.
“I’m not most élithe.” Tossing the letter opener aside, she reached up and dragged her nails down his chest. “I thought we liked that fierceness about each other?”
The tension leaked away as he realized she was far from disgusted by his display. His fangs and body shrinking back to their normal size, which meant he was still three times her size and a thousand times stronger—and still fairly riled up. Her nipples went rock hard.
“We do.” His expression turned arrogant once more. “But as Warlord I’m used to my men following orders.”
Goddess help her, his arrogance turned her on. Her gaze locked with his. “I can follow orders.”
“Can you?” His voice had deepened to a rasped challenge.
The lust between them crashed like surging waves along the golden soul ties, charging the air and sending dark, seething energy crackling against her skin.
“Yes.” She wanted him to understand she accepted him exactly as he was. “If I respect the man giving them, I can be very obedient.”
He leaned in, dropping to his knees while his big hands slammed into the leather seats by her sides, caging her so there was nowhere to run. “Even if those orders have nothing to do with the investigation and everything to do with us?”
Her eyes locked with his. “Even then.”

Book Tour for Claimed By Nicolai by Denna Holm (GIVEAWAY)

It’s a rollercoaster ride of action and romance as a human female ends up being kidnapped by an alien wanting to procreate in this sci-fi tale.  Keep reading to get a tempting taste of Claimed By Nicolai by Denna Holm, then add this exhilarating story to your bookshelf! In honor of this first installment in the Raiden Warriors series make sure to fill out the form below for US readers to have the chance to win a signed print copy of this book too!

When Abby Harris takes her faithful German shepherd out for a hike in Oregon's beautiful mountains, getting abducted by aliens isn't even a blip on her radar. Her trusty can of bear spray and pocket knife aren't much help against the seven-foot monsters who swoop in out of nowhere to transport her to a ship in space.
Nicolai Nekbet is Crown Prince for the House of Nekbet on the planet Raiden. Unable to bear healthy children with females of their own species, Raiden warriors must hunt for a bride outside their own world. Nicolai has his heart set on a human even though their planet is protected by an ancient species called Laizahlian. When he sees the tall blonde-haired beauty out in the mountains with only a dog by her side, he knows he must have her.
With Abby safely on his ship, Nicolai injects her with his shaprata, his essence. His shaprata will change her on a cellular level, making them compatible for procreation, but he must still work hard to win her heart. If she rejects their union, it could easily mean his death.

EXCERPT:

Abby didn’t say much on the walk back to their quarters, refusing to acknowledge the crew members who stopped to bow to her. Not that he cared what they thought, his worry only for his mate. “We’re here,” he said. “The door will open by voice command from the inside. Out here, you must touch your palm to the sensor. No one except you and I can enter without permission.” Except Rafa, his second in command, but Nicolai wouldn’t tell his mate this. Though Rafa would never hurt Abby, he didn’t want her to worry about him. “Would you like to try?”
“Um, I guess.” Abby reached up and pressed her palm to the sensor. The door opened soundlessly, and she stepped inside, immediately putting distance between them. “I think I want to be alone for a while, okay? I’m gonna...take a nap, I guess. I think I’m kinda tired. It’s been a...weird couple of days.” The last was barely a whisper.
Nicolai nodded as she moved toward the bedroom, aware his mate had finally started to accept her fate. He stiffened when she stopped in the doorway to their sleeping quarters, taking a step back, her face turning bright pink as she turned to glare at him.
“I think you forgot about someone,” she sneered. “Asshole.”
Nicolai scowled as he walked over to the open doorway, having no clue what she meant. He stopped, shocked to find his favorite concubine in their bed, obviously naked. Impossible. How had Aziza managed to enter their quarters? Someone in security was in trouble. “What are you doing here, Aziza? I did not call for you,” he growled in their native tongue, relieved he had yet to fit Abby with a translator.
“Nicolai,” Aziza replied, sitting up, the sheet falling away from her bare breasts. “You’ve not called for me in more than two weeks. I’ve missed you.” She smiled and licked her lips, her gaze shifting to Abby for a moment, her smile changing to a smirk before she added, “And I’m sure you must be missing me. I came here to take care of your needs.” Her gaze dropped to his groin, lingering there.
Though she couldn’t possibly understand what was being said, Abby snorted, easily reading the situation as she glared at Nicolai. “What the hell is this, Nick? I guess you can take me back home now since you already have a mate. Right?”
“Leave, Aziza, now!” Nicolai growled, furious with the concubine. He lowered his voice when Abby flinched beside him. “How dare you foul our bed with your stench!“
Aziza raised her eyebrows in surprise, then scowled as she shifted her angry gaze toward Abby. “She’s ugly, Nicolai,” she said in English. “Such a pale, putrid color. Our people will never accept such a pathetic creature. It won’t matter that you plait her colorless hair in the pattern of a queen. You should have injected your shaprata into one of your own, not this...thing! Look how she talks to you, the lack of respect. The female doesn’t understand the honor you placed upon her, my prince. She will never fully accept you. How can she, born of such a barbaric planet as Earth? You are a Raiden prince, heir to the throne! You deserve so—”
“Silence!” he yelled, teeth grinding as he clenched his jaws. “You dare dishonor your future queen!” Nicolai took a deep breath, trying to rein in his rage, aware it would only frighten Abby. Switching to his native tongue, he growled out, “One more word and I’ll have your traitorous tongue cut out.”
Her face still bright pink, Abby stared from Aziza to him. The concubine chuckled when she slapped his hand away. “I know where I’m not wanted,” Abby hissed, turning to leave, only the door exiting their quarters had already closed. “Open,” she said.
Nicolai stepped into the living area of their quarters and quickly countered her command, then ordered the door locked in his native tongue.
“Open the flipping door, Nick,” Abby said, her voice low, furious. When nothing happened, she slapped at the wall. “Open, you piece of shit door!” She growled with frustration. “Let me out.” She whirled, glaring at Nicolai as she motioned toward their sleeping quarters. “As soon as I get outta here, you and your girlfriend can have at it. I don’t want to listen while you fuck someone, Nick. And I really don’t care to watch.”
“Abby,” Nicolai said gently. He walked slowly toward her, his hand raised, as though trying to calm a wild beast. “I did not invite Aziza here. In fact, I’m not sure how she gained entry to our quarters, but I promise to get to the bottom of it. This will never happen again, you have my word.” He started to reach out to her cheek.
“Your word? What a crock! Don’t touch me,” she snarled, her expression still angry as she took a seat, arms crossed over her chest.
Nicolai sighed when Abby refused to look at him. He would go take care of Aziza and give his mate time to cool down. Furious beyond reason, Nicolai strode into his sleeping quarters, ripping the covers off a smug Aziza before he jerked her out of the bed. He ignored her pitiful cries as his claws cut through the tender skin of her arm. Afraid he might kill her, he dragged her kicking and screaming toward the door, unlocking it before he growled, “Open.” Then he threw her out naked into the hall. “Never come back here, Aziza. If you do, I’ll have you ejected alive through the disposal hatch. You’ll be reassigned once we reach Raiden, somewhere far away from the palace. Perhaps one of the lesser Houses will accept a traitorous bitch like you.”
She cowered from her spot on the floor, trying to cover her nakedness from the few crew members walking the passage. As they hurried by, no one stopped to ask questions, nor did they offer assistance to Aziza.
“Close and lock,” Nicolai growled, shutting his eyes as he pressed his forehead against the wall. He gave himself a few seconds to rein in his anger and then walked toward the sitting room. Abby hadn’t moved from her chair, her posture stiff, her eyes locked on one of the viewing screens, purposely ignoring him. “Let me try to explain.”

EXCERPT:

“Don’t do that.”
The masculine whisper feathered against her neck. His massive arms tightened around her. Wisps of warm breath fanned her sensitive skin. The clean musk of his mesmerizing scent sent a thrill down her spine. In reaction, she grasped a steel forearm, not sure if she wanted to get loose or pull them closer.
“Do what?” A scratchy rasp came out before she cleared the lump from her throat. But really, her nightly fantasy personified held her close, how could she not move? Her stomach tensed as a large palm encircled her waist while the other hand rubbed the top of her thigh. She shivered, eager for more. Maybe being stuck in the small space was a good thing.
“Stop moving.” His wicked whisper accompanied his tightened grip. “It’s hard for me to think when you do that.”
“Is that so?” She ran a tongue across dry lips before giving him a coy smile over her shoulder. Yeah, something was hard, all right. She turned around to hide her smirk. Mr. Prickly might not like being seduced. What? Since when did she want to pursue the attraction between them? But then again why not? He triggered something inside.
Every time she came near him a jolt zapped her hands and feet straight to her gut. Then her stomach drops like she’s in a car going over a hill quickly. Yeah, the tension between them was hot.
Hot enough to for her to go up in flames and take him with her. Definitely time to get the man on board with the program. She slid backward to rub against his erect cock. The movement sent a sizzle of lust down her spine. Damn, she liked being a girl.
His nose caressed the sensitive area behind her ear.
“Naughty girl.”
A rough, slick tongue suckled her lobe.
“It’s like that, is it?”

He's on a mission...
She's running for her life...
And if they get off-planet alive, she'll have to trust he won't reveal her darkest secret.
Tally Riva is not what she seems, and even she's not happy about it. Infected, invaded, she's not quite sure how to describe it, but on a disastrous mission to a ghost ship, something burrowed its way into her body. Into her mind.
When her commander decides the best cure for what he thinks is Tally's trauma is to send her on the famous Veltos Trail, Tally goes without revealing what's really behind her mental anguish. Anything to be seen as normal again, anything to ignore what she's afraid is happening to her.
But Veltos isn't the safe place it seems. The chosen military personnel lucky enough to be offered the chance to walk the Trail are supposed to be the only people on Veltos. But Ben Guthrie, a captain in Arkhoran Special Forces, knows they're not. He and his team have been on Veltos for a month already, tracking suspicious enemy activity, and he's gone undercover on the Trail in search of a satellite his superiors are sure has been shot down.
When Ben's worst fears become reality, and they find themselves hunted by a cunning enemy through the thick forests of Veltos, Tally and Ben fight together to survive. And Tally has to decide if accepting the changes inside her will save them both, or be her doom.

EXCERPT:

Ben stood outside to watch the military runner come in.
The flare of the engine was visible because dusk had already fallen and the sky was the indigo blue that shouldn't be unique to Veltos, but somehow was. There was just something special about the color here.
“Nervous?” Irwin stepped out to join him and looked up, following the runner as it fell toward them.
Ben glanced at him, wondering if the guide actively worked to be this annoying, or whether it was just a gift.
“Should I be?” He kept his tone mild.
Irwin glanced at him, shrugged. “Most people are a little nervous to meet their fellow Trail walkers. It's a two week journey, and there's no getting away from anyone who's difficult.”
And certainly no getting away from them if they were the guide.
Ben crossed his arms and watched the runner touch down lightly on the hoverpad a thou away. It was close enough that he could hear the hum of the engine and the silence when it cut off.
“So you never said which warship dropped you off.” Irwin had turned to watch the runner, too.
