Review for Love on Landing by Heather Thurmeier

To recover from a recent break-up Tali takes a spontaneous trip to Paris for some retail therapy. A spark of chemistry and a flash of friction with her pilot Gavin reveals shopping isn't the only cure for a broken heart.

When Tali tries to recover from a recent break-up with a trip to Paris for some retail therapy, she discovers shopping isn't the only way to cure her broken heart. On route, she meets new pilot, Gavin. Tali and Gavin have instant chemistry and friction as their personalities clash at 30,000 feet.

One night in bed isn't enough to quell the fireworks between Tali and Gavin, and when tempers erupt, Tali's ex-boyfriend is there to pick up the pieces. Too bad she's finally realized what she really wants in life… and it isn't her ex or the life her father has planned back home.

Now all Tali wants is the man who loved her enough to tell her what she didn't want to hear, but can she win his heart back again on the trip home and find Love on Landing?

Those looking for a sweet yet sexy romance set in an exotic locale that enhances the romance between two strong-willed characters should definitely give this book a chance.  We again visit the upper crust neighborhood of Meadow Ridge in this second installment of the series and meet Tali Radcliff who's just been dumped by her sleazy boyfriend Roger but soon locks horns, and other body parts, with sexy blue collar pilot Gavin Taylor.  The sparks immediately start flying and as they wander the streets of Paris they discover the unexpected about each other and together will set themselves apart from who others think they are.

Tali Radcliff is the proverbial spoiled rich girl, at least through part of the story.  As Gavin digs deeper a more thoughtful and artistic side starts coming through and Tali starts showing some real substance.  When feeling threatened by the strong emotions Gavin brings out in her she reverts back into that spoiled brat, but luckily it doesn't last long as she realizes what's truly important.  She's not afraid to admit when she's wrong and shows inner strength when it mattered most.

Gavin is the perfect hero, sexy and strong who doesn't let those who think they're better than him push him around.  This causes some intense banter between him and Tali that has alot of sexual undertones.  Watching their verbal sparring is akin to foreplay.  Even though Gavin has been burned by the rich before he can't ignore the electricity between the two of them and once they finally end up in bed the sexual interlude is truly steamy.  The scene builds slowly to an intense conclusion and I wish there had been more of these scenes.  I truly liked Tali and Gavin together and liked how well-balanced they were bringing out a different side to each of them.

This was a wonderfully entertaining story with likable characters with secondary characters who added just the right bit of tension to the story to bring our couple closer together.  I liked the evolution of Tali into a stronger woman defined only for herself.  The story can be read on its own and moved at a pleasant pace to make for a perfect evening of reading.  So stamp your passport and add Heather Thurmeier's new book to your reading list!

My rating for this is a B+

*I received this book from the author in exchange for my honest opinion.
