The darkness of night brings forth the heat in this collection of 8 previously released and 2 newly written stories featuring the steamy side of life. From witches to demons to vampires, the heat is on and no one is safe from its power.
This is an anthology that is a very sexy and scorching read perfect for a blazing summer day, or a cold winter's night. The vast array of paranormal creatures add to the intensity of each story and put a unique spin to each interlude. The groupings of lovers in each story are also varied with m/f/m, m/f/f, f/f, and m/f with each one being as exciting as the last. Each story flowed nicely into the next and was just the right length with each individual story feeling like a wonderful dream.
With this kind of anthology backstory isn't what's important, action is. Some of the stories give a bit of background, but mostly we jump right into the action which fit my mood perfectly. The female characters throughout the collection were strong and very likable with the men being strong and sexy. The storylines were equally varied with some being standard and some being erotically unique. Amongst all the stories my favorites were Overkill (where romantic misunderstandings lead to humor for a vampire and his bloodthirsty girlfriend) and Witching You a Merry Christmas (where longtime friends finally take the plunge after a nightmarish event).
There wasn't one bad story in this collection. Each one was sexy and entertaining and perfect as a pick me up whenever I needed one. I highly recommend this not only to fans of the paranormal who like a bit of sizzle to their story but also those needing a little zing to their day. With this anthology of short stories less is definitely more.
