Feature & Follow Friday......

Hello all, it's that day of the week where we learn new things about each other and discover new blogs along the way.  We also help each other by becoming followers of one another.  Normally that following would be through GFC (which would be great if you'd still take a few seconds to do), but with that being eliminated for certain blogs (a big boo-hiss to that) I now ask that you follow through a RSS Feed (or Twitter, FB, or email) which you can find to the right.  I want to thank all of you ahead of time who choose to become a follower and make sure to let me know in the comments if you're new so I doubly make sure to follow you back.  And now for this weeks get to know me question....

Q: What is the longest book you've read? What are your favorite 600+ page reads?

A:  Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin has been a recent read that felt overwhelmingly page-loaded and I think it's my longest read.  Liked it, but didn't love it.  Almost way too much going on.  Some other llllooooonnnngggg reads that I enjoyed were Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell and The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova.  I admit that I'm a bit intimidated by super long books and don't read many of them unless the reviews are super good.

  2. I need to read Gone with the Wind. The movie is one of my absolute favorites and I always hate when people like movies without reading the books first. So even though its super long I'll definitely need to get on that!

  3. I love the HBO show Game Of Thrones, never read the books though. I, too, tend to shy away from super long reads. Thanks for sharing!

  6. Game of Thrones is thoroughly intimidating, I've re-read the entire series a few times and I am always figuring new things out. You almost need to read it more than once to really piece everything together.

Love your picks! And new follower via Twitter.

  8. I'm like you - the long books intimidate me! I really need to read Gone with the Wind some day as so many people love the book. I really wanted the audio version of it but it's not available in my region. :( Guess I'll have to actually read it myself!
