Book Tour for Tie Me Up by Lauren Hawkeye (Guest Post & GIVEAWAY)

Before we spend some time talking with Lauren Hawkeye and learning about her new short story Tie Me Up, I want to thank Bewitching Book Tours for letting me be a part of this tour and Lauren herself for taking time out of her busy life to be here.  Don't forget that there's also a giveaway being offered today so read this entire post to make sure you get entered.  And now I bring you Lauren........

When doing a blog tour, the question of what a writer does in their spare time comes up a lot. A lot of the time it makes me chuckle-- spare time? What spare time? I have a day job, a baby, and try to write as well (and that's not a complaint-- I love it all!) I just started taking a certification course for my day job through distance learning as well, so there goes yet another chunk of the day. Still, I do manage to find time for my one major hobby, one that edges dangerously close to addiction-- knitting. I find that, for me at least, knitting is a great activity to squeeze in as a writer. It keeps my hands busy and is productive, yet allows me to think, to plot out that next scene in my head. I find it especially therapeutic when I'm having a bad writing day-- one of those days when the muse just won't cooperate with me. Knitting is a tangible measure of something productive that I have done with my time. I can spend an hour knitting, and then look back at what I've done and see the progress that I've made. I find that this is often a great reminder for me that I am making progress in my writing career as well, even though it doesn't always feel like it. This is probably why I am so diligent at finding time for my hobby in amongst everything else in my life-- or maybe it's just that I have a major yarn habit.

What kinds of hobbies do you make time for, no matter what?
