From the first page to the last you’ll find yourself rooting for the main couple of House of Scarlett by Meghan March, along with getting my impressions of their story, which will have you wanting to add this second installment in the Legend Trilogy to your bookshelf!

MY IMPRESSIONS OF THIS BOOK:
The previous book in this series, The Fall of Legend, enticingly laid the groundwork for an exhilarating romance featuring a likable couple and their combustible interactions. This book gave us even greater insight into this duo’s background as well as leaving readers with one heckuva cliffhanger that will keep everyone breathlessly waiting for more. By the turn of the final page readers will be worn out from all that came before but looking forward to what comes next.
The previous installment wasn’t too forthcoming when it came to revealing Gabe’s past, but here I felt a deeper connection as Ms. March gave us his story. Sweet and sexy encounters with Scarlett led to storytelling of his past in a layer by layer reveal. Through this reveal he endeared himself to me and I fell in love with him even more deeply. There’s much about his past that will break your heart though, parts that are coming back to leave his future hanging in the balance. At times he may seem commanding and harsh, but behind that facade is someone with a kind heart and a protective side that made me smile. Scarlett’s past was further touched on here and it showed her to be an even more formidable heroine. Her past was riddled with pain and it added to her strength. Her friends too were a good support system and their interactions entertained me and had me cheering for them.
Throughout this book Gabe and Scarlett held me captive with their tale of past emotional pain, second chances, and a rocky road to HEA that culminated in an enticing cliffhanger. It’s a cliffhanger that will leave readers with many questions while breathlessly counting down the days until the final installment in this trilogy lands on bookshelves. Fans of steamy and suspenseful encounters will applaud once again Ms. March’s exhilarating balancing act as we wait to see what happens next.
