MY IMPRESSIONS OF THIS BOOK:
Picking up soon after Moses revealed the truth about his first interaction with Magnolia years ago, this story goes full steam ahead as she needs to put that truth behind her to focus on the here and now. With her life in danger from a man bent on revenge she’ll need Moses more than ever in a story that had my heart racing, my cheeks blushing, as all the connections finally came together in a thrilling conclusion to a duet that was very well-crafted.
This time around readers will get greater insight into Moses, the rough around the edges hero whose past is littered with questionable acts, and it made me even more attracted to him. He’s sexy, commanding, with a talent for dirty talk, but oh so protective when it comes to Magnolia. On the outside he’s a badass, but on the inside he shows a heart of gold. Magnolia’s his perfect other half with a past full of tough choices that have made her stronger but also made her many enemies. As a heroine I loved her for her strong will and acceptance of herself. She makes no excuses for her past, and despite unexpected blasts from that past, she forges ahead to find the villain threatening her HEA. She’s the kind of heroine you can’t help but admire and I thoroughly enjoyed the sizzling connection between her and Moses. They were a formidable pair with a steamy and suspenseful journey full of twists and turns that kept me glued to the pages.
By the turn of the final page I was left breathless yet fulfilled. With an appealing main couple, who I was fully invested in, Ms. March has crafted another winner. Bringing past couple Mount and Keira back was a delightful addition to the story too as Mount’s another drool-worthy bad boy who’s oh so good. He and Keira were a solid support and brought a few chuckles with them too. While I was sad to see the players inhabiting this world reach their HEAs, I enjoyed all the hard work it took to get there and commend Ms. March for her ability to beautifully balance suspense and romance!
