Review for Negligee Behavior by Shelli Stevens

This is a fast paced super sexy read with many likable characters set in Sin City about an heiress and a bartender trying to make something of their relationship despite some differences.  For negligee heiress/choir teacher Brandy Summers her spur-of-the-moment wedding was supposed to be romantic, but between the dirty carpet and sour smells and an increasingly creepy fiancee she knows changes needed to be made.  Arriving on his motorcycle to rescue her is bar owner Marco Vargas whose one moment of help soon changes his life forever.  Will their opposite lifestyles draw them apart or will a continued threat bring them even closer together?

This is a truly fun and sexy read that combines humor and steamy interludes to create a very satisfying read.  From a drool-worthy hero to a straight-laced heroine ready to let loose, the story starts out strong and doesn't let up.  Brandy is a heroine who's easy to relate to with her damaged self-esteem and negative body image.  She doesn't wallow in self-pity and gets through challenges with humor.  She's an incredibly likable heroine and you can't help but root for her to come out of her shell and find someone worthy of her.  And that leads to Marco who sees to the heart of Brandy and encourages her to live life to the fullest.  He's the perfect boyfriend because of his protective instincts and killer body and it's no wonder Brandy falls for him so quickly.  He too has felt moments of indecision and family disappointment for leaving a lucrative law career behind to run a bar with his womanizing friend Sebastian.  Their relationship progresses easily with nary a misunderstanding.  The one issue they have is quickly resolved through actually talking which makes me love the two of them together even more.

This book is a very entertaining read that feels like the first book in a series, which I hope is true since there's some truly wonderful secondary characters that I'd love to see more of.  British bad boy Sebastian is a handsome devil with a few secrets of his own that I'd love to discover.  There's a brief moment of chemistry between him and Marco's younger sister that has me especially intrigued.  Throw in a sassy, tell-it-like-it-is waitress named Val and I'm left clamoring for more!

If you're in the mood for steamy interludes and well-written characters amidst the wildness of Las Vegas, then hurry up and get your hands on this humorously sexy read.  I definitely recommend this walk on the wild side to everyone and am holding my breath for even more naughtiness from this great cast of characters.

My rating for this is an A.
