Feature & Follow Friday......


Hello all, it's that day of the week where we learn new things about each other and discover new blogs along the way.  We also help each other by becoming followers of one another.  Normally that following would be through GFC (which would be great if you'd still take a few seconds to do), but with that being eliminated for certain blogs (a big boo-hiss to that) I now ask that you follow through a RSS Feed (or Twitter, FB, or email) which you can find to the right.  I want to thank all of you ahead of time who choose to become a follower and make sure to let me know in the comments if you're new so I doubly make sure to follow you back.  And now for this weeks get to know me question....

Q: What is one book that you would be nervous to see a movie adaption of because you think the movie could never live up to the book?

 

A:  I'm scared anytime a book is adapted for the big screen since so many have been disappointments.  One I would love to see adapted but know would end up ruined is JR Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series starting with Dark Lover.  First, the actors they'd choose could never live up to the mental image I have.  Plus, I doubt the grittiness and emotions would be conveyed properly.

    I really have to start reading the Brotherhood series, it seems as though everyone loves them! I can see why that would make you nervous. Thanks for sharing!

    Hopping through. BDB would be incredible movies but I think they'd be NC17 :-)

    I don't see the BDB series working out either. The whole emotional disaster in every book.. I don't think actors could really bring it across real enough for the audience to "feel" it to.

    I have heard wonderful things about this series. The only time I have seen actors match my image was Harry Potter :) because I can say without a doubt that The Hunger Games didn't match lol so I can see how that would make you apprehensive, I know I was about THG.
