Feature & Follow Friday........

Hello all, it's that day of the week where we learn new things about each other and discover new blogs along the way.  We also help each other by becoming followers of one another.  Normally that following would be through GFC (which would be great if you'd still take a few seconds to do), but with that being eliminated for certain blogs (a big boo-hiss to that) I now ask that you follow through a RSS Feed (or Twitter, FB, or email) which you can find to the right.  I want to thank all of you ahead of time who choose to become a follower and make sure to let me know in the comments if you're new so I doubly make sure to follow you back.  And now for this weeks get to know me question....

Q: Have you had a character that disappointed you? One that you fell in love with and then "broke up" with later on in either the series or a stand-alone book? Tell us about him or her.

A:  I used to love Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum and her humorous antics and bought each book upon their release.  Now, her indecision when it comes to the Ranger/Morelli question and her repetitive and annoying incompetence has caused her to lose her luster in my eyes.  The movie version made with an actress I'm not a fan of hasn't helped the situation.  I still check in with the books from time to time via borrowing them but no more autobuying for me and I haven't read each release since number ten.

  1. I haven't read any books by Janet yet, but I wanted to watch the movie... until I found out who played the her main character. Also not a big fan of Heigl. LOL.

  2. I hate it when it starts happening later on in a series. What a huge letdown! I mean, if you're going to disappoint us, please at least do it in book 1 so that we're not hooked!!

  3. I haven't read the series yet, and to be honest I have no interest too. While the premise intrigues me, I've heard a lot of bad things about Stephanie Plum. I have a friend who used to love the books, but now is constantly complaining about Plum's inability to choose a guy and stick with him. I was going to see the movie though, until I heard Katherine Heigl was the lead. I'm probably her least biggest fan.

Thanks for following me! I am now following you back.

  7. Seeing this one around a lot too! I never got into them, nothing paranormal so it didn't grab my attention. And I hate when movies ruin the book.

  10. I haven't gotten a chance to see the movie yet... but I sort of want to. I really like Heigl (in some things, like The Ugly Truth).

  11. I've only read the first three books in the series so far. I love Morelli and Ranger but I heard it does turn into a love triangle. I just figured she would end up with Morelli after 304723948209384209384092384 books but if she seriously hasn't still made up her mind I'll probably get annoyed.

  12. Is this the movie that stars Katherine Heigel or am I confusing it with another book?

    1. Yep, Katherine Heigl is indeed the actress chosen to play Stephanie Plum. I'm not a fan of hers so it didn't endear the movie to me.
