MY IMPRESSIONS OF THIS BOOK:

With each new book release Ms. Bosco continues to impress me with her steamy tales full of action and suspense, tales based within a brotherhood of unforgettable bikers with hidden hearts of gold.  As a disabled person I was especially drawn to this newly-released story and its depiction of blindness, a depiction that is realistically portrayed and made the heroine easy to relate to.  When mutual grief brings these two broken people together, they’ll find their one night stand not near enough in a tale full of action, danger, and decisions about their future that puts readers through the wringer.

After the previous book in this series brought readers into biker Ghost’s world, I knew it would be a dark journey for him from that moment on.  And boy, has life been tough for Ghost after the tragic loss he experienced.  Ever since that moment he’s been running from the truth, using drugs and alcohol to keep him numb to the truth.  He’s a man who’s done some bad things, a man with blood on his hands done for the greater good.  He doesn’t think himself worthy of anything good, worthy of love, but the moment he meets an eclectic young woman is the moment he sees himself and his future in a different light.  Birdie’s an unforgettable heroine, a young woman who became blind at an early age and who has lived life full-speed ahead ever since.  She’s bold and sassy, but her brashness hides her poor self-esteem that has gotten her caught up in a dangerous situation that only Ghost will be able to help her escape from.

The connection between these two is off the charts scorching, as seen by their first kiss and first night together.  There’s a blend of naughtiness as well as sweetness between them to make their burgeoning relationship oh so satisfying.  Their scenes in and out of the bedroom pulled me in wholeheartedly while pushing every one of my emotional buttons as Ghost finally dealt with his grief head on while Birdie had to deal with the mess her ex left at her doorstep.  With each turn of the page it’s clear these are two bruised souls, souls with rough edges that fit perfect together.  Their pairing brought a blush to my cheeks while keeping me on the edge of my seat in a journey that kept my heart pounding.  I was also left cheering and laughing at Birdie’s snarky and erotically-charged comments that really made her stand out from Ms. Bosco’s other heroines.  All in all this was a satisfying read with just the right amount of action and suspense, beautifully balanced with a romance that burned up the pages while pulling at the heartstrings.  The other characters inhabiting this story, some who readers have seen before and some who are new, made this world even richer and more engaging.  This is an unforgettable story, one that has left me looking forward to what comes next while fondly remembering all that came before with this one.

My rating for this is an A.

*I got this book from the author for review in exchange for my honest opinion.
