Follow Friday.........


This is the day of the week where we get to know each other better by answering a question devised by our lovely hostesses Parajunkee & Alisoncanread.  We also gain new followers by joining each other's sites via GFC, so please let me know if you're a new follower since I automatically follow back.  And now for this week's question....

Q. What book that hasn't been turned into a movie (yet) would you most like to see make it to the big screen, and who would you like cast as your favorite character? 

 

A.  I, like many others, are clamoring for JR Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood books to be made into movies.  We'd start with the first, Dark Lover, and one of my favorite characters is Vishous who I picture as actor Steve Bacic.

    I haven't read the Black Dagger Brotherhood. The issue, I suspect, with doing any form of a romance novel as a movie is that the rating would actually scare the target audience (women) away. Really a shame. I'd love to see Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter books go that route, but we'd have the exact same issue going on. (My apologies if I am mistaken about the contents of the books you listed.)

    I haven't read these books yet, but they're on my list...people rave about them, so I'm anxious to see what all the fuss is about! I'd never heard of Steve Bacic, but YUM! lol

    I'd watch the BDB no matter what the rating :) I'm just worry about the casting and (as always) the special effects budget. And actually, now that I think about it, how they would play Wrath's near blindness without it looking silly or weak (which it just ISN'T in the books). Then I would worry that they would tone down the tension between V and Butch which is, I admit one of my favourite parts in the series. :p

    Ha! Great minds think alike :D I also went for the Black Dagger Brotherhood series, that would be some awesome silver screen material, right?
    And awesome choice for an actor; Vishous is one of my top favs too :D

    Oooh! I didn't think of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series! I love that set, too. :) I think I would rather see that as another HBO special, kind of like how True Blood was done, but not sure. Movies would be cool also. :) Very nice pick for V, too. He's my fave of the brothers. :)
